From the author: Loginova O.I., art therapist. Art therapy: Isotherapy. Group work. Drawing in a circle with colored pencils on A4 sheet. The trainer gives instructions: “Each of you begins to draw everything that comes to mind and, at my command, passes his drawing to the next participant, who, in turn, continues to draw on your drawing and so on until your drawing returns to you again. For example, if there are 8 participants, then in your drawing, besides you, the remaining 7 people will add something of their own. When the drawing returns to you, you raise your hand and do not pass it on." Let's move on to the discussion. Loginova O.I., art therapistArt therapy: Isotherapy. Group work02/05/2016Creating teamwork.1. Drawing in a circle. Each group member is given a white sheet of A4 paper and colored pencils, including a simple pencil. The trainer gives instructions: “Each of you begins to draw everything that comes to mind and, at my command, passes his drawing to the next participant, who, in his own way, the queue continues to draw on your drawing and so on until your drawing returns to you again. For example, if there are 8 participants, then in your drawing, besides you, the remaining 7 people will add something from themselves. When the drawing returns to you, you raise. “Discussion of drawings When all participants complete the process, it is necessary to discuss all the drawings. Participants give a title to each work. The presenter asks questions to the participants: What thoughts were there when you started drawing? What thoughts were there when the drawings were passed to you in a circle other participants? What emotions did you experience when you received your drawing? By what principle did you choose the color of the pencil? What did you experience when you didn’t know when the turn would change? What strategy have you chosen for yourself? What happens in your life when you need to do a job in a very short time and you are being pushed? The peculiarity of this exercise is that the participants do not know when the leader will say “Stop” and offer to pass the drawing to the next participant .The drawing can be liked, but also cause indignation. Therefore, we discuss with the participants what we liked, what we didn’t like, what caused irritation. You can clarify which of the participants drew an element of the picture that the owner of the picture or even all participants did not like. What thoughts and feelings were there when they were drawing on other people’s drawings? The facilitator observes the reactions of the participants and, in case of strong reactions, analyzes this state. If one of the participants has strong emotions, then the facilitator is obliged to work through these emotions with this participant either in a group or in individually. If more classes are planned in a group, then at the next lesson questions are asked: “What was your mood after the group lesson, what would you like to say before the next exercise began. Your wishes to the psychotherapist, group participants.” After which you can continue the group lesson and give new exercises for the group. Video. Group work on canvas.
