The influence of emotional factors on the cardiovascular system. Hypertension is one of the most common diseases of our time. It is characterized by a chronic increase in blood pressure in the absence of a visible organic cause. As a result of numerous studies, it has been revealed that the increase in blood pressure in the majority of patients with hypertension is caused by psychogenic factors. Most studies emphasize that controlling hostile impulses plays a major role here. It has been found that blood pressure levels are significantly affected by the constant inhibition of aggressive impulses, which are always associated with anxiety. Animals realize their aggression through physical combat. We have to completely control our hostile impulses, because... this is required by the rules of living in society. There is an assumption that constantly pent-up anger can cause constantly high blood pressure. As a result of prolonged containment of hostile impulses, their intensity increases. This leads to the development of even more stringent defensive measures to keep accumulated aggressive impulses under control. Excessive compliance, humility, and emphasized politeness are such defenses in patients with hypertension. But these defenses do not relieve tension. As a result, a feeling of inferiority develops, which in turn also causes aggressive impulses. It is difficult for such people to defend their interests and compete with other people. As a result, envy awakens in them, which also intensifies hostile feelings. This vicious circle continues ad infinitum. If you find yourself with similar problems, seek psychotherapeutic help. “There are no gates for trouble and happiness, they are generated by the person himself.” Han Fei
