Thinking is one thing. Thinking critically is different. This requires a lot of effort from a person and his body and, accordingly, energy consumption. Thinking critically means not taking any information on faith, questioning it and analyzing it before accepting it. This is a reliance on facts, and not on someone’s opinion, even an expert one. The word “attitude” has become so commonplace today that its definition is beginning to be forgotten. An attitude (in this context - information presented as dogma) is a judgment, taken on faith. To take on faith is to accept something as true without requiring proof. This means: someone said something, and the person accepted this information without verification. Verification is when you “with your own hands” took and checked several sources, found facts and made your own conclusions. Such information becomes part of thinking, emotions and, accordingly, actions. And it is no longer a person who controls himself, but someone’s attitude, someone’s goal. Information accepted as dogma passes into the base of a person’s experience and becomes part of his mentality (becomes a psychological attitude). A psychological attitude can be described as a “program for the brain.” She tells you what to do in familiar situations. This saves the brain from overload, so “the brain is only happy about it.” Today, people know how to present information in a way that makes the attitude less noticeable. The tools are improving. It is always worth remembering this. Unfortunately, the huge layer of information that is presented is a subjective interpretation of what is happening, which carries a specific goal. Even this article has a goal - to convey to the reader the importance and need to double-check information before accepting it. Especially that information that evokes emotions. You need to understand that emotions today are a tool of influence (Here you can double-check me - because this is my conclusion. This is my opinion. Find facts, research).Today you need to analyze everything. It's difficult and requires a lot of effort. But this is the only way to remain objective. And hear yourself.
