And that’s when anxiety takes over. Since we don’t know what exactly to expect with such speed and external instability, we can expect the worst for us. We all know that anxiety is not our help. And when making any decision, it is advisable to calm down and do it with a “cool head”. However, few of us have the ability to remain calm, which is sometimes so necessary. I bring to your attention a number of psychological techniques that may help you harmonize your internal state in the event of disturbing thoughts. First, ask yourself “What exactly is it about this situation that worries me ? Is this situation really so dangerous for me that I'm so worried? How will this affect me specifically? This way you can analyze whether your fears are realistic, or whether you are “making a mountain out of a mountain.” Listen to your body. When a person is worried about something, his muscles become tense, his breathing becomes slow and frequent, and sometimes his head starts to hurt. Try to get your body in order. Breathe deeply, taking deep exhalations (7-10 seconds each), relax your muscles, massage your head. If possible, ask for a hug; this often helps relieve emotional stress. Do small, but pleasant things for yourself. This could be gifts to yourself, going out to your favorite places, or simply allowing yourself to lie on the couch all day and not feel remorse. This is a sure way to improve your attitude towards what is happening around you and feel joy. It is recommended to light candles at night. Fire helps relieve emotional stress. You can use aromatherapy. Scents such as lavender, rose, tangerine, lotus promote relaxation and good mood. Try to depict your anxiety on a piece of paper. Then look at your drawing and decide what will you do with it? You can tear it, burn it, or find something pleasant for yourself in it and keep it. Imagine the worst that can happen in a situation that worries you. Let your imagination run wild. Try to exaggerate the situation so much that you see it in vivid, frightening events. This will help you see that in reality everything is not so scary. And the maximum worst is unlikely to be real at all. Help others. Be sincere and selfless in your actions.
