The question of the meaning of life and happiness worries many people. Very often psychologists are asked How to let go of a situation? How to fulfill desires? What to do if desires are not fulfilled? And behind many of these questions lies trauma and self-doubt, bitter life experience and, as a result, prohibitions, restrictions, and self-punishment. A person follows the path of suffering, as if his brain does not notice joyful events and little things that help us in life. When you talk with clients about the joy of life, it seems that the topic is stalled and turns into an overwhelming one. A person finds himself in a zone of personal suffering and cannot get off this road, even if he understands with his mind that he must somehow get rid of it. However, by performing the practice of Happiness, with a full analysis and interpretation of what it is, what it looks like, one can Whether you feel it, touch it, hold it, we help ourselves and our clients to open their emotions, to make room in the secret place of the soul for something new, joyful and life-affirming. The post-traumatic state of a person requires careful and delicate work. However, when leading a person out of trauma, very strong archetypes are involved in our Field (psychologist and client). As a rule, this is Life and Death. In the case of an acute grief process, it is not recommended to visit a psychologist, since it takes time to grieve (if we are talking about the departure of a loved one). But if the grief process is prolonged, then the help of a psychologist is required. And here these archetypes, one might say, the pillars of the Universe, manifest themselves in their full extent. Suicidal behavior due to deep grief and stress is corrected by a specialist according to his school and the areas in which he works. Symbol therapy here addresses the phenomenon of the residence of archetypes in a person. A person is the bearer of an internal conflict in which two principles are fighting - Life and Death. And if the archetype of death is perceived by a person as liberation from trauma, from grief, then the archetypes of life, on the contrary, lead to the acceptance of sadness through its sacredness, comprehension and further - to the mental transformation of a person. What is hidden behind the archetypes of life and death? When talking about the process of suffering and grief, I do not always talk about mourning a deceased family member and the biological form of the end of life. Death can also mean everything that has ceased to exist: a relationship with a loved one, the loss of a favorite job... And despite such a variety of symbols and signs, a person’s goal becomes the transformation of his own life, soul, a way out of suffering. This is a complex process and takes a long time, to recover after the departure of a loved one (with a competent and careful approach for about a year) or to survive the pain of separation. It is this process that is the litmus test for a psychologist. The archetype of Death is the Transition. And it is extremely important for the client that the vector of transition from a destructive state to creation is found. If a person moves towards his healing, slowly realizing that the death of a loved one (or another tragic event) means a transition, transformation from one state to another, then an understanding and awareness of his place in life occurs, a certain new meaning is formed, the path to his “I” opens. ". That is, a person says goodbye in an ecological way in order to move on with his life. And it is at this stage that the assessment of the momentary happiness and joy is important. The central theme here is “I am in THIS WORLD”. What gives a person joy? Against the background of studying and immersing in the archetypes of life, the client realizes and comprehends, discovers himself as a living person. Feelings of hunger, thirst, the desire to stay warm if it’s cold, even the desire to change your life for the better are achievements! It is very important to gradually introduce into practice exercises that allow you to rejoice. In severe cases, joy is not always realized. Thus, my client, who lost her husband, could not cope with grief for a long time. And in one of our meetings she suddenly said, “I looked out the window. And the birds sat on the branches. They were cold, hungry...”. And on the wave I suggested that she do.
