To understand when we experience aggression, we need to decide what it is. After all, we associate the word “aggression” with something negative and immediately makes us wary. Isn’t it? But if you conduct a deep analysis of the origin of the word, you will find that “aggression” means “to approach”, “to go forward”. And you can approach not only with the goal of harming, but also, for example, to ask a question, ask for something. It turns out that aggression is our manifestation into the world. Any interaction with the environment is aggression. Why do we give a negative connotation to this concept? Because for most of us, aggression is behavior aimed at destroying someone or something. But aggression comes in several types, which we will consider below: Annihilation aggression is energy aimed at the moral or physical destruction of a living or inanimate object. For example, solving a problem using physical force, quarrels, insults. This is exactly what we mean when we talk about aggression; Dental aggression is energy aimed at satisfying our needs. For example, a request to close the window if you are cold or replace the fries with mashed potatoes, which you originally ordered, refusal to work outside of school hours, etc.; Passive aggression is an energy that remains contained within us. She finds no way out. What is the main difference between the above types of aggression. The first type is aimed at destroying or completely destroying something, the second - at changing, and the third is simply inaction. Let's look at an example of how all three types of aggression manifest themselves. Situation: you communicate with a person, but categorically disagree with his opinion. Annihilation aggression: you yell at your interlocutor or even start a fight. Dental aggression: you gently direct the conversation in another direction that you prefer. Passive aggression: you get irritated, but endure, continuing to listen to your interlocutor. So, aggression is everyday and in in most cases a completely normal part of our lives.
