During the crisis, the number of clients from psychologists and psychoanalysts has increased, says Victor KORYAGIN, a psychoanalyst practicing in Dzerzhinsk and Nizhny Novgorod, a member of the National Federation of Psychoanalysis. He shared his vision of the crisis and gave some advice. First of all, it is worth understanding that the crisis has at least two components - directly economic and psychological. Everyone, as a rule, thinks about the financial side of the issue and completely forgets about psychology. And from the point of view of psychology, a crisis is stress, a transition of the psyche into an uncomfortable state. Namely, discomfort is the best incentive for development. This means that a crisis can become a source of growth and development - if it is treated adequately. It should be remembered that crisis is just a popular word that each person fills with its own content. Psychologists have such a test - a person is shown blurry pictures where everyone sees their own. This is a crisis - this is the screen on which the strengths and weaknesses of our character are projected and revealed. During this period, a person’s long-standing problems worsen, weak points become vulnerable (“where it’s thin, it breaks”). Family and industrial conflicts, depression escalate, a feeling of hopelessness, emptiness, anger, etc. arises. This may concern not only people who have lost their jobs. Living in society, we cannot isolate ourselves from common problems; emotions, like water, flow from person to person. Even if the crisis has not directly affected the person, nervousness will still be felt, undermining emotional balance. What can be advised in such a situation? A crisis is the best time for change, says Victor. Psychoanalysis moves a person from the role of a passive object, such as a victim of a crisis, to active management of his life. A crisis opens up new opportunities, a person begins to notice them and use them effectively. Also during this period, it is important to maintain emotional balance in the family. Family is the most reliable support that helps you get through the most difficult times. In addition, it is necessary to maintain and expand social connections, communicate more with old acquaintances and make new ones. Why communication is important - in the process of discussing and telling others about their problems, a person understands himself better and finds a way out of the situation. Communicating with like-minded people, we do not feel loneliness and isolation, we receive support and emotional warmth. And a crisis is also a good time to rethink and reassess your actions. During the period of stability, many actions and expenses were irrational. A crisis provides an opportunity to understand what is truly valuable. And close relationships are always valuable; they give strength in difficult times. Recorded by Tatiana TITEVA Source: http://www.birzhaplus.ru/kariera/?48580
