Be a calm observer of your thoughts, feelings and bodily sensations. But remember: you are more. You are more than what happens to you. This is your inner strength. And not only this. 2. Remember the abilities of your spirit. You have access to a source of purely human, spiritual abilities. Love, compassion, forgiveness, gratitude, patience, courage, commitment to a task, desire (will) for meaning. And much more. All of this is a resource that you can use in response to the challenge of the present moment. 3. Remind yourself that you are unique. Because you entered this unique moment in your life with an exclusive combination of experience, knowledge, desires and aspirations. This is your personal luggage. No one else has something like you. And only you can decide how to manage it. 4. Explore your possibilities Yes, they are not limitless. Everyone has something in life that cannot be influenced. Maybe now you want and cannot quit your job? Or rather, you can, but this is fraught with undesirable consequences. That is, you choose to stay because it is the optimal solution. This is important to remember. Not all restrictions are surmountable. You can't change what has already happened. You cannot choose other people's actions. But under any circumstances, you are free to choose your attitude to what is happening. By making this choice, you open up the space of your freedom. 5. Think about responsibility Of course, true freedom is impossible without responsibility. Think about what – at the moment – ​​is your responsibility to yourself and other people? After all, as the famous Austrian psychologist Viktor Frankl wrote, it is not we who ask life. On the contrary, it is life asking us. Look closely and listen to them in search of the one that has the most weight. Viktor Frankl noted that each person has his own “inner compass.” It is the voice of conscience that gives us direction towards meaning.
