We all have to deal with people in our lives whose behavior we don't like. Colleagues, teachers at the school where your children study, neighbors and some not very accommodating relatives ruin your plans, ruin your life with endless whining, disappear when you count on them so much... Relationships are becoming more and more confused, but things are not moving forward. How to deal with insufferable people while maintaining dignity and achieving results?R. Brinkman, in his book Communication Genius, identified ten basic types of behavior that a person uses to achieve his goals. Intolerable behavior especially increases in unfavorable circumstances or when performing too difficult tasks. In this article I provide a description of typical INTObearable people, then in separate notes I will consider ways to interact with each of these types (see links to types of Intolerable). A tank is a conflict , a directionally aggressive, rude, quarrelsome and unbridled person. The tank, having started work, is no longer able to use the brakes. It attacks you from all sides and can easily crush you. And don’t be surprised, there’s nothing personal here, you just got in his way. When trying to control things or control people, the tank's behavior changes from light pressure to a swift attack. Sniper - makes you look stupid with a rude remark, a caustic remark, or a perfectly timed eye roll. The sniper is a true strategist. When things don't go well for him, he is able to manipulate everyone indiscriminately. He achieves this by mercilessly humiliating you and confusing you. Any person is afraid of finding himself in a stupid position, and this is what the sniper achieves by bullying you with maliciously ironic remarks. Moreover, he chooses the most appropriate moment for this, when you are most vulnerable. “Friendly” Sniper. This person has a great way with people, and his mocking jokes are just a way to get attention. A friendly sniper loves to shoot ironic jokes at someone else's pride. Moreover, if you joke in response, he will take this as a positive assessment of his actions and continue to attack you. And if you remain silent, you will cause him emotional trauma, because... he will not get an answer from you to his friendly jokes. Know-it-all - rarely doubts and does not tolerate being told that he is wrong. If it turns out that he was mistaken, then he self-confidently proves that only you are to blame for everything! The know-it-all suppresses any resistance with his verbosity and constant objections. Looks for weaknesses and non-existent shortcomings of opponents in order to force them to change their minds. And since this person really has some knowledge of the subject, many quickly give in under his pressure. The whiner feels helpless and depressed by an unfair world. He dreams of perfection, but no one and nothing matches his ideal. You have to listen to his whining and complaints from morning to night. If you offer him a way out of a difficult situation, he will immediately consider you a useless interlocutor, but the number of complaints will not decrease. The whiner does not believe that he can change anything. Pressed down by all sorts of troubles, he doesn’t even want to think about making any decision. All that remains for him is to itch and whine: “everything is wrong, everything is wrong, it’s unbearable.” The whiner accumulates his sorrows and from this he feels more and more helpless and unable to solve anything. A person - no - is a person who devotes all his strength to the struggle of disappointment, hopelessness and despair. A person - no, unlike the Whiner, does not feel helpless in a difficult situation. He's just losing hope. He is confident that not only will mistakes never be corrected, but no one can detect them. He tells everyone around: “Forget it, nothing will work out. We've already tried many times and it didn't work out. There is no way out of this situation.” The hopelessness of such a person drives everyone to despair. No person can have a heart-to-heart talk or be silent together. What».
