Today, on the way home, at a traffic light, a woman of about 70 came up to me and asked how I cook peas))... I answered that I don’t like pea dishes. To which she said that her mother, who lived to be 90, never ate anything she didn’t want and until her last days felt good and light. In addition, the woman added, she only ate when she wanted, regardless of the time of day. Currently, the weight loss industry is one of the most popular and profitable. Nutritionists, surgeons, kitchen gurus, psychologists. Moreover, psychologists are still in last place. Why on the last one? Yes, because a person who lives in contact with his body does not bring profit to the same fashion industry, he will not undergo stomach surgery or correct his shape, he does not need special diets to lose weight. He simply hears his body, hears what it wants and what it doesn’t want. A person who is in contact with himself does not need to limit himself in food; he perfectly feels how much he needs to eat for normal functioning and to derive joy from food. And the extra piece simply won’t fit in his mouth, and it wouldn’t even occur to him to force himself so that the plate remains empty. After all, violence is violence, no matter how it manifests itself. A person who is in contact with himself, his body, does not think about whether he can eat after 18-00 or not. If he wants to eat, then he eats and that’s it, no more unnecessary thoughts or self-flagellation. A person who is in contact with himself always smells, his body responds gratefully to contact with him, to caring for him and when satiation with food occurs. What is the basis for contact with yourself and your body? The ability to feel and hear your body, and the body, unlike the head, does not lie, it will always give a signal in time about hunger, that saturation has occurred, that this is tasty, and this is not. The body is a continuation of the human psyche, and if harmony reigns in its mental space, then the body simply does not need to build up bodily armor from excess weight. There is no need to hide your charm, for example, from men. After all, it’s no secret to anyone that often excess weight is just protection, protection from other people. A sort of secondary benefit, I'm fat and that's why I don't have friends, or that's why I don't have a personal life. When a person is in touch with himself, he does not need protection in the form of excess weight. When I talk about excess weight, I don’t mean that normal weight should be around anorexia! Normal weight is the weight at which a person is comfortable, at which he feels at ease (not from lack of weight), but from how much space he occupies, how well his body feels, how much energy he has. If you think that with such excess weight as you, men/women will not love you and therefore you need to lose weight. Believe me, if you force yourself to lose weight, rape yourself with physical activity and crazy diets, you still won’t get love. Why? Yes, because you don’t love yourself, don’t respect yourself, there is no contact with your body, no contact with your soul, no self-worth. And in a new body, you will be glad that you were able to, that the kilograms and centimeters are gone, but... But the joy will be short-lived. Because the hole in the soul was not filled, and remained, as the heart was hungry, it remained, as armor was needed, so it is needed... What to do to learn to hear yourself and your body? As an option, go to personal therapy with a psychologist. You do not want? Then, at least when you wake up in the morning, ask yourself: what do I want to eat for breakfast? What do I want to do for myself today? Get the answer and put what you want into action. As for the food itself. Make it a rule to eat with yourself, and not with the TV or gadgets. After all, when your attention is somewhere outside the body and the absorption of food, the body will not notice what it has eaten and how much. Learn to enjoy food, savoring every bite, and not swallowing it as if it were about to be taken away from you. You need to choose tasty food, you
