Can you distinguish between depression, emotional burnout and fatigue? How can you notice the onset of emotional burnout in time? You plunge into this state unnoticed. At first you are passionate about some project, “immerse yourself in it headlong”.. You get tired, but you think that you’ll work harder and then it will be easier, you’ll rest... And then you no longer notice how you’re yelling, freaking out, and then gnawing at yourself from the feeling guilt. Thoughts in my head that “I can’t cope”, “I’m the worst of all”, “I’m a worthless employee”, “If I don’t have time/can’t cope, then I’ll definitely be fired/everything will collapse”, etc. Life ceases to please and bring pleasure. And you start to hate work, it’s all through force. All I want is for no one to touch me, to hide, curl up and lie down. And then comes psychosomatics, exacerbation of chronic diseases, colds, etc. The body screams “STOP! I can’t do this anymore!” And this condition is dangerous because it can gradually develop into depression. And there are completely different measures to crawl out of it. The problem is that the more you plunge into this state, the more difficult it is to change something and help yourself. You begin to blame yourself, hate yourself, and relationships with loved ones deteriorate due to breakdowns. It seems that no one needs you and everyone is against you. It’s like you’re burying yourself. Previously, it was believed that only those who work with people, in difficult and emotional work, burn out. But recent research shows it's more complicated than that. This process is influenced by various factors: long working hours, busy schedules, heavy workloads, conflicts and tension in the team, low pay and devaluation of labor, discomfort in the workplace, unloved work. Everything is complicated by low self-esteem, excessive demands on oneself, limiting beliefs, pressure from society or authority (for example, a boss), a difficult financial situation, perfectionism, attempts to keep everything under control, and so on. Gradually, other areas of life are crowded out and the person finds himself in a trap. He doesn’t see the opportunity to get out of this state, but he can’t bear it either.
