No one is immune from feelings of envy. Everyone has at least once experienced either a hint of irritation or a whole range of unpleasant sensations. You cannot press a button once and stop envying. But you can (and must) work with this feeling. How envy usually happens ?Yes, everything is as simple as possible - you don’t have what others have. You will hear the news - the Ivanovs have gone on vacation! Yes, even to where you have dreamed for a long time. Hit? Blow! Ivan’s husband bought (to substitute his own). And yours wears three tulips on March 8. The Ivanovs bought a car. Better than yours, naturally. And so on and so forth. Envy is the moment of joy of another and your inability to share this joy. You must help yourself in the moment! At the moment of envy, any of your successes seem like garbage under your feet. You can’t do that! 1) If you feel envy, remember YOUR successes. Well, okay, the Ivanovs went on vacation, but you also had vacations, and more than one. 2) Think about the path that the person has traveled. Yes, he could have been saving up for this vacation for ten years and not going anywhere at all. Or a diamond ring given by a husband to his wife was purchased thanks to the difference earned from the sale of an apartment. And Ivanova herself insisted on this ring; her husband would not have guessed! It seems that everything fell from the sky to the person. But as a rule, a person plants a seed long before the event. Performed actions - received results. 3) Separate envy from the other person. As a rule, the first reaction is to find reasons why a person is bad and generally not worthy of such benefits. People judge, feel anger towards others, not realizing that the person has nothing to do with it at all. He didn’t cross anyone’s path, he lives his own life and that’s all. Essentially, it’s not the Ivanovs’ fault that the Petrovs envy them. It would be strange to meet the expectations of others, forgetting about your dreams. 4) Do the opposite - look for the reasons that helped the person get what you want. What did he do for a brand new car? He probably saved his money, put it off, and looked for options. What did the Ivanovs do for a vacation? Yes, they probably didn’t go to a cafe extra times, didn’t spend money on entertainment, didn’t buy clothes, congratulated each other more modestly on holidays, and saved it for vacation. 5) Look not externally, but internally. Behind external attributes, as a rule, there is a desire for a certain state. What exactly do you want? Vacation is a state, a feeling of something. Do you want physical rest? Want to see new places? Or do you also want to feel happy next to your partner? What is behind direct envy? You can write down all the options. Admit it, have you ever been jealous? Why?
