We have three reactions to stress - fight, flight or freeze. I propose to consider these reactions from the point of view of field processes. Fight is an active verb. These are actions. Defend your life if you are in mortal danger (captivity, front line, killer). If in unfavorable circumstances, continue to act in your zone of influence, especially if the lives of family members depend on your actions. Look for money, not wait for it to fall. Make a bonus out of failure. Don't give up. Overcome difficulties and resistance from the external environment. Fight like a warrior on the field of life. Here the active part of the personality is the pursuer and motivator (and also a good opportunity to improve these qualities). Run is an active verb. These are actions. Get out of mortal danger if a person finds himself in it (captivity, front line, killer). If in unfavorable circumstances - continue your movement, run - personal or spiritual growth, unpacking potential, creating the meaning of life, searching for your money or its source. Finding your place in the big world. To learn, to explore the field of life in spite of everything. Here the active part of the personality is the pursuer, researcher and motivator (and also a good opportunity to improve these qualities) Freeze is a passive verb. This is inaction. If a person is in a deadly situation - consent to die or allow himself to be killed (captivity, front line, genocide, murderer). If in unfavorable circumstances - hide, close himself off, don’t want to know or see anything, don’t talk about anything relevant. Pretend that nothing is happening. Self-deception. Suffering, everything is wrong, it shouldn’t be this way, why is this happening to me, soon everything will end, we must be patient and wait and a miracle will happen. Or a passion for saving everything in the world. The field of life is something terrible, unfair and wrong. Here the active part of the personality is the victim and the rescuer. This is about a severe trauma that triggered, but so far the person does not have the strength to admit it. Complete numbness. Personality disintegration is possible. The “fight” and “flight” reactions help to unlock potential and create a new meaning in life even in unfavorable life circumstances. They help you get through the bad so that the good comes later.
