From the author: Charles Chaplin. Speech on my own 70th birthday."When I began to love myself, I realized that sadness and suffering are only warning signs that I am living against my own truth. Today I know that this is called "Authenticity." When I I began to love myself, I realized how much you can offend someone if you impose on him the fulfillment of his own desires, when the time has not yet come, and the person is not yet ready, and this person is myself. Today I call this “Confession.” . When I started to love myself, I stopped striving for a different life, and suddenly I saw that everything around me invites me to grow. Today I call it “Maturity”. I am in the right place at the right time, and everything happens at exactly the right moment, so I can be calm. Now I call it “Self-Confidence.” When I began to love myself, I stopped stealing my own time and projecting grandiose projects on. future Today I only do what brings me joy and happiness, what I love to do and what puts my heart in a joyful mood. I do it in my own way and at my own rhythm. Today I call it "Simplicity". When I began to love myself, I freed myself from everything that harms my health - food, people, things, situations. Everything that pulled me down and took me away from myself. At first I called this the position of healthy egoism. Today I call it “Self-Love.” When I started loving myself, I stopped trying to always be right, and since then I've been wrong less. Now I have learned that it is "Modesty". When I started loving myself, I stopped living in the past and worrying about the future. Today I live only in the present moment, in which everything happens. Now I live every day, day by day, and I call it "Fulfillment." As I began to love myself, I realized that my mind could frustrate me and that it could make me sick. But when I combined it with my heart, my mind became my valuable ally. Today I call this relationship "Wisdom of the Heart." We no longer need to be afraid of arguments, confrontations, or problems of any kind with ourselves or with others. Even stars collide, and new worlds are born from their collisions.
