I would like to begin my reflection with the idea that society's ideas about expectations are not at all what one should rely on when deciding to become a standardized professional or a broad-minded individual. And the main reason for the emergence of this idea is double social standards. This is easily illustrated by the example of how doctors are forced to carry out appointments in city clinics with a limit of 7 minutes to see one patient. When entering the office, each patient wants to receive maximum attention to his person and the problem with which he came. That is, it relies on the broad outlook of the doctor’s personality, as well as his professional experience. But standing behind the door and counting down the minutes of an over-standard appointment for another patient, he regards this same breadth of outlook as a disadvantage, because a standardized professional is simply obliged to fit within the 7 minutes allotted by the standard for an appointment, and this doctor does not fit into this standard. The more the doctor carries out his appointment according to a standardized protocol, the less opportunities the patient has to establish contact and resolve his problem. A number of professions such as doctor, psychologist, educator, teacher, lecturer, lawyer have increased public expectations that want to see a lot and at the same time in the personality of a professional, a person capable of acting strictly according to instructions and standards, and on the other hand, having a broad outlook. My personal opinion is that in order to successfully establish oneself as a professional, it is necessary to expand one’s horizons within the framework of competencies during working hours and in free time expand your general horizons. In this case, we can talk about a balance between life and work and the absence of the need to be torn between standards and horizons. Also, this approach can help avoid professional deformation and is an effective means of preventing emotional and professional burnout of people whose activities are primarily related to working with other people. I’m interested in your opinion on the question of who modern society expects! Sincerely, Ekaterina YartsevaRegister for a consultation+79109419908
