A frequent request: “Why do I have constant anxiety?” There is an option for people who have constant debilitating anxiety, who are physically healthy, everything is fine in their family and at work. But they have constant internal anxiety. It interferes with them: they need more time to collect and react, especially in unfamiliar conditions, they can lose sight of some important conditions for performing activities and make stupid mistakes. So one person told me: he definitely saw that cognac had been poured into a glass, and he was looking for water - his mouth was very dry, but at that moment he felt such anxiety that he seemed to pass out and drank something that he did not want at all, and when he drank, he realized that he didn’t want to and was in pain from the scalding liquid that got on the dry mucous membrane of his mouth, but he couldn’t resist. Outwardly, you can see the anxiety in his eyes. And also a person can close his eyes or roll them up, or take them to the side when they are trying to formulate something, blush, stammer, and cannot find what to say. These are signs of tension. Sometimes such people can even give the impression of liars. The cause of anxiety in this case lies in personality traits: unconsciously the person is sure that he is a loser. A person unconsciously wants to please the person with whom he interacts. Even a surgeon who has been practicing for a long time can have such an unconscious attitude that it negatively affects his life and activities. There are also stronger manifestations of anxiety. Such people cannot start anything new in their lives. They can be active in areas where they are left to their own devices, for example, playing single sports. But they are worried about any new and old social connections before making contact. More often, their work is monotonous, with a small number of contacts, they choose it for themselves: there is nothing new there and therefore there is nothing to worry about. But they get tired of it, like any person who does monotonous work and communicates little. There are people for whom exhausting, persistent anxiety manifests itself only before some important event and, moreover, for many days. Or it may also manifest itself after the event. Unfortunately, such people are very often “captured” by individuals who crave power over a person in order to satisfy their neurotic needs. In all these cases, you must first realize your unconscious attitude “I am a loser.” Only a psychologist can help with this. And go through sessions with the EMDR method.
