From the author: Psychosomatics. Working with symptoms. Comprehensive work with excess weight Having worked with a wide variety of bodily symptoms and illnesses for a long time, I have encountered the fact that even with the client’s absolute trust in the constellation method, we do not always achieve the requested result and changes in general. This is due to the complex and stable structure of the symptom. There is a possibility here of systemic interweaving (loyalty, symbolic repetition, family methods of survival) and the consequences of personal childhood trauma, and secondary benefits and mixing of all this in different proportions. Let me give you an example. Girl, 28 years old, overweight, masochistic type. Victimna, there were attempts at rape. The arrangement shows that for her father she is more of a partner than a daughter. The mother stands aloof and is emotionally unavailable to either her husband or her daughter. Excess weight stands between the client and the father. It is clear that one of the meanings of the symptom is protection against incest. But the symptom tends to expand, and therefore it becomes a protection against sex in general. I'd rather be unattractive. What consequences does this situation in the family have for the child? Since for the father she is a partner, this means that she does not receive from him what a child should receive from a parent as a younger one from an older one. Mom is generally not emotionally available, we will find out why later. It is also important that the mother quickly ran out of milk, and she fed her daughter for only 2 months. The client is used to compensating for the lack of warmth and safety with food, hence the habit of overeating, the food-relaxation connection. There is an event in my mother’s family that they don’t talk about. Grandmother was abused. The mother may not be the natural daughter of the one whom the client considers her grandfather. The client's ever-present background feeling is shame. It turns out that this feeling is also reinforced by intertwining with my grandmother. And excess weight again has a protective function. What is important from my point of view? We consider excess weight, metabolism and body type as BEHAVIOR, which basically has a positive intention for the preservation of the individual. How to work in this case? First the arrangement. Then work with secondary feelings and, if necessary, additional clarification of the meaning of the symptom. And then - the development of new patterns of behavior using trance methods, such as the swing technique, enhanced by pranayamas, 6-step reframing, etc. In addition, at the master class I will talk about common family dynamics that lead to excess weight, and I will one demo arrangement. My master class will start on March 28th at 13 15.
