In 2014, 900 cases of death from the use of the drug spice were officially registered in Russia, unofficially 9000 people. A third of the dead were teenagers aged 14 to 16 years. Spice (from the English “spice” - spice, spice) – a type of herbal smoking mixture. Spice appeared at the beginning of the 21st century in Europe and was sold under the guise of incense. Ingredients: - synthetic cannabis; - entheogens (plants that contain psychotropic substances); - ordinary herbs. Cannabis (lat. cannabis) - psychoactive substances obtained from the natural raw materials of hemp. Synthetic cannabis - substance JWH-018, manufactured in the laboratory. In terms of the impact on the mental state of a person, it is 10 times stronger, more harmful than natural. It can be compared with drinking a glass of water, but instead of one at a time there are ten glasses, and it is known that water is a healthy product. The human psyche suffers from the use of smoking mixtures. With a one-time use of “spice” the following may occur: - hallucinations; - anxiety, - vomiting; - voices in the head; - feeling of panic fear. Spice smokers often end up in psychiatric clinics. With long-term use (smoking) of spice, the following damage to the body’s organs is typical: - the brain is affected; - the circulatory system; - the liver (body filter); - the kidneys; - the reproductive system. Almost immediately, after smoking spice, powerful hallucinations occur, which can lead to tragic consequences, for example: going out of the window onto the street, the desire to throw yourself under the wheels of a car or jump out of the window of a high-rise building. The connection with the surrounding reality is lost. Experienced drug addicts warn against smoking spice, saying that today it is the most powerful drug in terms of its impact on the human psyche (addiction almost the first time). Reasons leading to smoking spice. Social. influence of the social environment, i.e. a group of people who use spice invites a new friend who happens to be in their midst to give it a friendly try. A kind of analogue of television advertising - “Try it!” It’s just that it takes time to promote one type of product, while others are 100% addictive. Psychological. Throughout his life, an individual seeks the opportunity to fill his inner mental space. In early childhood it’s mom and dad, in adolescence it’s friends, sports, hobbies, in adulthood it’s family, etc. And as soon as the person is left “out of work” - the unconscious dynamics of compensation for emotional emptiness are activated - this could be work, business, hobbies, sports, ... or various types of addiction. Susceptibility. From a schoolchild to a minister. Negative consequences of long-term use of spice on a person’s mental state. After stopping smoking the spice drug, some of the symptoms that arise (anxiety, panic attacks, voices in the head) do not disappear, but continue to bother the spice user. Psychosis and paranoia may occur. Like any addiction, it requires long-term treatment in a rehabilitation clinic; it is possible to correct the mental state through psychotherapy.
