A couple of months ago, my friend recommended the film "Life is like a home", after which I realized that it was in the topic of my specialization))) I want to share my thoughts about it. The main character learns about an incurable disease and, that he had little time left to live. He is shocked and confused... Having collected the last bits of self-control, attitude, positivity and hope that he can still do something in life, leaving a good mark, he quits his job and begins to build his dream house, which he dreamed of (if I I’m not mistaken, about 20 years old)! He involves his teenage son in his construction, then his ex-wife and her current children, neighbors, friends and acquaintances get involved. The hero passed away before the end of the film, but the house was completed, and the fate of its builders changed dramatically once and for all; a great understanding of the importance of human relationships and “following your star” came. The death of the main character breathed new life into the others... He left easily and with a smile on his face. A very revealing film for people who so often ignore their feelings, hide dreams and desires, and deny intentions and fantasies. He didn’t go where he wanted, he didn’t live as he planned, and he swam with the current and then he arrived... All this sooner or later leads to serious somatization - to incurable diseases such as diabetes mellitus, neurodermatitis, cancer, coronary heart disease, bronchial asthma, arthritis, etc. Why the body, why the disease, why incurable? Most likely because the body is already the last resort, which so clearly shows a person that something needs to be changed in life - thoughts, attitudes, actions, concepts and principles. Everything that is destructive for a person, no longer brings benefit (although it may have once worked in childhood, but time passes, a person changes, becomes conscious and responsible for his life), everything that prevents him from fulfilling the true mission of his life , its purpose. Next time, when you “catch a runny nose,” don’t write off running to the pharmacy, although you also need to take care of your body, think about what this runny nose means to you? Why did you come right now, why get sick now? Who or what could this be connected to? And while you are enjoying your sick leave, hot tea with honey and lemon in your favorite chair, try to reflect (observe from the inside, think and feel) on these questions. Love and listen to your body, and perceive illnesses as friends, guides, helpers and teachers of your life , thank them, work through them and let them go. Also on the topic of neglected somatization, I recommend watching other films: “Knocking on Heaven’s Door”, “Until I Play the Box”, “Sweet November”, a wonderful series with a sad ending (at first glance) “Big K” "(original English name "Big C", C - in the sense of cancer). If you have watched it, watch it again, there are a lot of deep thoughts and expressions there. Share in the comments after watching, I will be grateful to you. Or maybe you can recommend something from this series to me. Thank you in advance! Love and accept yourself and your body, and be healthy!
