You have probably heard many times about the concept of “internal support”. But not everyone realizes how important it is to have inner support in order to achieve their ambitious goals. If we do not have internal support or it is very weak and shaky, we are easy to manipulate and control. Due to the lack of internal support, we: are afraid to try new things; we are afraid to delegate; we are afraid to name the cost of our services; we are afraid to GROW, and so on. When you do not have internal support, any a negative event that happens in the world or in your life throws you off track. It is very difficult for you to cope with emotions. You are thrown far back and then it is very difficult for you to move on. Internal support is needed to reach a new level of development - in life and in work. What is internal support? Internal support is, first of all, a state that we feel within ourselves and which can be described as stable. This stability is given to us by: our feelings; our experience (knowledge, abilities and skills); our internal image of ourselves. These are our internal resources, on that we can lean on. Inner support helps us keep focus on ourselves and our goals, even when life sends us challenges. It helps us stand firmly on our feet and not break. Manage your internal state and be the author of your life. Inner support is not something that some are born with and others are not. Everyone can build their own inner support. Internal support is what we control and what we are responsible for. In contrast to external support, which depends not only on us, but also on various environmental factors. Our external support can be people, work, the place where we live, our material assets. But no matter how hard it is to realize, we can at any moment lose some components of our external support. At this moment, a person may feel that his reality is collapsing. It's hard for us to lose something that was an integral part of our lives. And INTERNAL SUPPORT helps to hold on at such moments. It gives us the incentive to continue to grow and move on! Our internal support consists of experience: feelings, emotions, experiences, abilities, values, beliefs, role models. How to build internal support? 1) Determine what internal support is for you and why do you need it? This is important because if you don't have a definition of something, you can't rely on it. 2) Remember in what situations in your past did you lack inner support? There have been moments in every person's life when he went into excessive anxiety, missed something because of fears, tried to please someone, ignoring your own desires. Remember 5-7 situations in which you could not rely on yourself. For example, when your boss devalued your ideas, and you agreed with his opinion, although in your heart you thought otherwise. And analyze - WHY did you do this? Maybe you wanted to seem good, maybe you were used to pleasing everyone, or was this how you maintained your safety, your comfort zone? In every situation when you chose to rely not on yourself, but on others, ask the question WHY? After all, everything we do, even if it’s complete stupidity, we do for a reason. Whether we realize it or not. If we want to change something in ourselves, it is important to see what and understand what the old behavior gave us through the question WHY. Then we will be able to influence it. 3) Now think about what situations in the future you will need internal support? Remember situations from the past and think about how you would like to do things differently? How will you build your life based on yourself and your values? Write down 5-7 such situations. Having internal support, you will certainly improve your quality of life. Share the results of your practice in the comments.
