"-I'm on my side, get a divorce.-To be honest, you're not a family psychologist" The meme is funny, the situation is terrible. In order not to screw up with choosing a psychologist, here are a few points for you How to choose the right one ⤵️⤵️ ⤵️STEP 1. Your inner voice is telling you that something needs to change. And you realize that you are walking in circles, your life is a Ferris wheel, from which you don’t even look the same, but you’re tired of it. BUT! --- you must understand the essence of your torment, and whether they were imposed on you by chance, and you are absolutely satisfied with everything. Do you really need it?🤔STEP 2. The search for a psychologist should take place outside the radius of relatives. Do you want real help? Look for her on the side 🤭 the ethics of a psychologist do not welcome consultations with relatives. There will always be a subjective component and the psychologist may unconsciously take one side. The exception would be an acquaintance who will be your authority. STEP 3. Watching articles and videos of a specialist should lead you to believe that your views coincide. There are different psychologists (black, white, red, but everyone equally wants to worry about something 🤭😂). They may also go through a divorce and unconsciously take sides (for the divorce or the marriage). There are different psychologists, there are those who themselves have experienced, for example, a divorce and they, again, unconsciously take one of the sides. Even if you have a “different husband”, the trigger is the same (but every rule has exceptions, everything is individual). Psychologists are divided into different camps. For example, some are adherents of positive discipline, others are supporters of “permissiveness”. Everyone chooses a psychologist whose principles are similar to their own. (In the next post I will write my principles) PS If you still cannot choose your psychologist, and your thoughts are wandering around aside, then most likely the moment of readiness for your transformation has not arrived. After all, the success of working with a psychologist is 80% of working on yourself. If we draw an analogy with treatment, then its success will depend on how systematically you take the prescribed medications. In working with a psychologist, improvements will begin only when you launch a system of working on yourself, your habits, reactions, etc.
