I think a lot about anxiety - often clients come with it, and I myself have it, so the question is always relevant. I’ve already written something on this topic. But the most important question is always - what to do about it? When it seems that everything is bad and nothing is helping - how can we help ourselves? So, what can help: - relaxation exercises, relaxation - physical activity - swimming, dancing, yoga what is suitable - eliminating negative thoughts, suppressing self-criticism and self-aggression, working with the inner critic - mental hygiene - visiting a psychologist or supportive relationships - repeating positive thoughts and creating attitudes - facial exercises in front of the mirror - smiling and relaxing - positive letters to yourself - self-care: good nutrition and sleep, reducing stress - revising values, setting personal goals - reviewing activities, a typical day, increasing the number of pleasant things, reducing unpleasant ones - communicating with those around whom you feel better, who strengthen the positive part By the way, Daniel Amen’s book “Change” helped me your brain - your life will change,” both for me personally and in working with clients. Indeed, there are people who are hereditarily predisposed to depression and anxiety, and I am one of them. But you can learn to live with these, and not bad. The book contains exercises on how to manage this. I recommend.
