Good afternoon, Dear Friends! Yesterday we moved a little away from the topic of insults and reactions to them. And today we will continue our discussion of this topic. Yes, and I remind you that the first part of the series can be found here, the second here, and the third here. Here in the comments they asked me which offender I was talking about. They assumed that this was about someone who was randomly met on the street. Yes, that’s true, that’s what I was talking about. But what about loved ones and the insults received from them? Friends, relatives..? And the boss at work, if he allowed himself to say too much in our ardez? How to build relationships with them after offensive words have been spoken? Yes, if these are close people, then it is important to discuss everything with them, talk about how their words were perceived by you, how they responded, what emotions and feelings they aroused in you. It will be easier and simpler for everyone to communicate after such a situation. I’ve also already written a couple of times about how important it is to communicate with loved ones. Is it necessary to repeat and describe the basic rules for clarifying difficult moments, and indeed dialogue in general, once again? If necessary, I’ll write about this tomorrow. What if this is an inadequate boss at work who has made it a rule to insult employees, shout at them, and the like? You can’t have a heart-to-heart talk with him, you can’t put him in his place. Although you can put it in its place, it is not a fact that after that you will continue to work in the same place. But it’s better here to use the techniques, for example, that I described earlier, to understand that he does all this not because he has such a good and wonderful life. This is how he solves his problems. And also, to make it completely easier to perceive such a situation, you can use other techniques. For example, every time he allows himself something like this, imagine him as a kind of capricious child, always throwing tantrums. And then, if you wish, you can either show sympathy for him (well, this is an old trick) or look at him with humor. If it’s about sympathy, then you need to imagine why he can do all this. Didn't his parents accept him for who he was as a child? Didn't you listen to him? Did not understand? And if you go more towards humor, then you can pat him on the head, console him, put him on a potty, feed him porridge. In this way, you will also get an advantage over your boss, which will not be expressed explicitly, but can be read and instill in him the feeling that there is no need to talk to you like that. Although, perhaps, if you show him sympathy and understanding, this may ultimately contribute to a rapprochement between you. Thank you very much for your constant attention! I look forward to your comments below! And look forward to the continuation about insults tomorrow. If you liked the material, please click on “Say thanks”!
