Computers are present in many modern families today, and it is already difficult for us to imagine how to cope without these assistants - to study, work, and have fun. Instant data transfer and search for the necessary information, keeping in touch with friends, shopping, games, movies and much, much more - all these are achievements of modern technologies that humanity enjoys using. Your child is becoming a teenager, and this period is fraught with various difficulties. Often the reason for long sittings at the computer is avoidance of problems at school, fears, increased anxiety, lack of self-confidence and lack of opportunity for self-expression, some difficulties in relationships with children in class, friends, problems in the family relationships of parents. However, this is not a way out of the situation, but a desire to avoid making decisions. It is very important to explain to your child that immersion in the virtual world is not a solution to the problem. Try to be more interested in your son’s successes, involve him in family affairs and their decisions, and spend time together. If he has friends, do not forbid them to go for walks together or come to visit each other, citing the importance of preparing for lessons or other reasons; if the opposite is true and he has no friends, you need to find a way to expand the child’s social circle (for example, you can write down join him in some hobby group or send him on vacation to a good children’s camp - there will be other guys there with whom he can make friends). However, training sessions on developing communication skills with a psychologist can help teach a teenager to communicate with peers. In computer games, the child becomes the main character, where he can do whatever he wants, he can be a leader there, successful, accepted into the team, there he can express his aggression, completely unhindered, and therefore the passion of modern teenagers for computer games is so pronounced . As a consequence of this, there may be a decrease in the emotional background, an inability to switch attention, insufficient communication with peers, a narrowing of the range of interests, a change in sleep and eating patterns, and then this is no longer just a hobby, but a computer addiction. This is not an addiction to any one computer game, since it is more of a psychological “chain reaction”. Having completed one game in any genre that you liked the most, the search begins for a game of the same genre, made in an identical style and not inferior in psychological tension, and then - the desire to complete all (at least known) games of this type, of which There are a huge variety on the market at the moment. For a child, games can also be attractive because there is always the opportunity to correct any mistake through repeated attempts, and you can independently make any decisions (within the framework of the game), regardless of what they may lead to. In this case, you can help with clear control of both activities and time spent at the computer. It is important not to limit children in their actions (for example, prohibit certain games), but to explain why this or that activity or hobby is not desirable for him, especially since such a long time spent at the computer can affect visual acuity. It’s good to switch your attention to sports activities, training, team games, and don’t forget about walks outside. It is important to find and eliminate the cause and then the computer will be used strictly for its intended purpose....
