- I’d rather die today from fried potatoes than live a long time on a healthy diet! - my husband said a couple of years ago. He was sure that sports and Proper Nutrition (PN) were not for him. And today he enjoys going to the gym and enjoys eating healthy food. How did I inspire my husband to lead a healthy lifestyle? I'm telling you.1️. Personal example: I went to the gym regularly. She came tired, but inspired. She told me how much energy sport brings me. BUT. I never said that it was time for my husband to take care of it too.⠀2️. Creativity and variety. My husband thought that a healthy diet was dry chicken breast + buckwheat. But no. Every day I cooked MYSELF something new. And to the husband - his favorite, but the same thing. 3️. Kitchen merchandising or decoration. She served his food as usual, but decorated hers to make the dishes look more impressive and appetizing.⠀4. The "Tom Sawyer Fence" method. Remember how he used cunning and tricks to make others believe that painting a fence was a great privilege? And not available to everyone. He managed to inspire them. I did the same. I ate it with such pleasure! I also told him how good I felt. When he, seduced by my pleasure, asked to try it, I replied: “You said that this is a terrible diet!? Eat your potatoes. And this is mine. I'm not giving it. Mmm... how delicious...”⠀So it wasn’t I who forced him, but HE persuaded me to cook something healthy for him.⠀5. Visible result: I looked better, felt healthy and very energetic. I began to have time to do everything planned and at the same time pay attention to myself, my home, and my husband. This really piqued his interest.6. Speech strategy “principle of similarity”: - Misha, can you imagine, my nutritionist is AGAINST DIETS! You were right! Diets suck! My husband realized that the nutritionist was a completely adequate person and ended up signing up for a consultation himself.7. In nutrition, we follow the “80 to 20” law. Sometimes we eat “sanctioned foods” (as my husband puts it). No guilt. At the same time, the further you go, the less you want junk food. My husband appreciated the benefits of sports and healthy eating after 3.5 years of marriage. How long? Do you want everything at once? Well, continue nagging your husband for another 20 years to no avail. I’m giving you a checklist for working through negative beliefs. Thank you for the likes and reposts.
