From the author: Is it possible to bend reality to suit yourself? It's not easy, but it's possible. And reality will certainly reciprocate your feelings. It’s not for nothing that I remembered this film! On the eve of our fairy tale marathon. I watched it back in the year of graduation, because I am partial to Ozone’s work. Then he rather disappointed me. It seemed very caricatured, too vicious satire. Here you have aristocratic snobbery addressed to the stupid nouveau riche: even though we are broke, we are still elevated, and even though you earned some dough, you are not capable of anything other than vulgar kitsch. And a successful woman buying an unsuccessful man, and he, we note, is not at all against “settling in,” but at the same time pays her with black ingratitude... And a parody of current goal-setting trainings: “dream and it will come true!” And it comes true, but this is the very case when the gold turns out to be shards. But satire is only the external side, everything is much deeper. Each of us lives in a world invented by himself, frankly speaking. It’s just that not everyone has such a developed imagination, like the main character. In most cases, everything revolves not too far from the reality that is before our eyes every day. And this, by the way, is the best way to hide from reality - simply not to see what is too scary and unpleasant, but to see in a somewhat embellished light what pleases. If the imagination is much bolder and brighter, then meeting reality will be much more painful, because the distance is greater. Especially if you push reality “for yourself”. You can charm the audience with heart-warming plots from pulp novels. You can buy the mansion of your dreams, fill it with peacocks, canopies, golden cupids and even the sound of a harp. You can invent love for yourself “like in a novel”, connect your life with a narcissistic rake, reveling in his own mental torment - and expect that he is about to “according to the law of the genre” turn into a sweet and loving spouse, and his talent will sparkle with all its facets... But this doesn't happen! If a mansion meekly tolerates tasteless furniture, then the person is what he is. Ignoring his reality is much more difficult. He doesn’t even think about turning into anyone, he doesn’t change. Other people are the best test of reality. Why? Because each of them (of us) is the creator of his own world, in accordance with his own imagination, filled with dreams and dreams. And they cannot be corrected in accordance with someone else's desire. Yes, you can fool your brain, convince, charm, force... but you can’t change it “to suit yourself.” Because only your dreams are real, they become dreams and goals, they give strength and give meaning to life. Someone else's dreams that you have suddenly become infected with are just a dream, a mirage that will dissipate over time, leaving a bitter aftertaste. In a word, the relationship between imagination and reality is multifaceted and ambiguous. Composing your life, organically weaving it into the fabric of reality is not at all the same as burying yourself in the crypt of your own imagination. Dreaming, setting goals is truly wonderful, but if you don’t forget to listen carefully every time, what does reality answer to your dreams .I recommend viewing to everyone who is thinking about these difficult questions.
