How to Find Your Uniqueness The term uniqueness comes from the Latin word “unicum”, (one of a kind), unique, original, exceptional. In essence, we are all unique. Everyone who has ever been born has their own value and meaning. There are no exceptions. But there are times when you are sure that something is wrong with you. You may think that others are valuable and significant, but for some reason you are not. Thinking that somewhere deep inside you are defective. It is important to understand that this belief is wrong. Even if it seems true, in this case you cannot trust your thoughts. There are no unimportant people or insignificant people. There are no two separate wards in the maternity hospital for valuable newborns and for babies born in vain. Every human birth is a miracle, even if our thoughts sometimes say otherwise. Let’s imagine: a tiny baby, just born, completely helpless and dependent on adults, takes its first breaths. The doctor comes and tells the parents: “Your child is worse than others.” “Apparently, this child has no merits.” “You have given birth to a stupid child.” “The newborn has no potential.” The thought that the doctor would say something like that about the child, may seem absurd, and it really is. It is no less absurd to think about yourself this way. Once upon a time you were that same baby - and over time you have not become less valuable. What to do if a person believes that he does not have any such qualities of his own? 1. Make a list of your personal qualities.2. See yourself through the eyes of your friends. What qualities do they see in you?3. What qualities have you exhibited when you have achieved something important to you?4. What 20% of your efforts give you 20% of your results? How can you achieve maximum results with minimal effort? Pareto's Law: “20% of effort produces 80% of the result, and the remaining 80% of effort produces only 20% of the result”5. What conclusions can you draw from this exercise? When and at what moments will you return to the answers? I am valuable and important from birth - just like every child born
