Our daughter was 5 years old when she started asking for a kitten. We live on the 9th floor and explained to her that we couldn’t have a cat at home. On the street or at a party, the girl played with the cats as much as she wanted. The desire to have a cat grew every day. Gradually, we began to notice that after communicating with cats, the child began to sneeze, a little later a runny nose and lacrimation appeared. And then one day, after several minutes of communicating with the cat, my daughter suddenly developed a cough, runny nose, lacrimation, swelling of the face, and shortness of breath. All the signs of an allergy were on the face. I had to urgently leave the room and even take an antiallergic drug. This made me think. I traced the connection between the desire to have a cat and an allergy to these animals. Now there was no question of getting a cat. And then it was decided to get a pet. After several trips to the pet store with my daughter, two cute blue rats settled with us and became our favorites. The allergy symptoms immediately subsided, and after a month we practically forgot about her. Today our daughter is 8 years old, she communicates freely with cats, no allergies No. We sometimes remember this story when looking at our family pets.
