Very often we expect that the pleasure of life will fall on us from the Universe, other people, circumstances. I need to lose weight and I will dress beautifully, I will get rich and enjoy life, I will quit my unloved job and start making money from my hobby. And then I will experience pleasure from life. Or, I get pleasure and peace only when I eat delicious food, or when in the company of friends. But there is a downside. Food, as the only source of pleasure, becomes the cause of excess weight and health problems. To derive pleasure only from communication means to experience boredom and anxiety from loneliness. There is another option, everything that brings me pleasure is expensive, takes time, etc. One of the reasons for such thoughts is ignorance of oneself. There are a huge number of pleasures in life that do not cost money or any large investments. A large number of pleasures that are available to you. Available daily. You just didn't pay attention to them. I offer you a technique. It’s called “20 of my pleasures.” You need to write down 20 of your pleasures. And every day include at least one thing in your day. As an example, I’ll now write a list: - A cup of coffee - A hot shower - Dreaming - Listening to the rain outside the window - Foot massage - Driving a car - The road - Reading a book - A cool detective series - Writing plans etc. Your task is to create one, but your own. For example, my favorite thing is that every morning, even if it starts at 15:00, I start with a cup of coffee. Which I brew for myself. Regular, instant, but this is my cup of coffee. I drink and get ready for the day. These 15 minutes are the most enjoyable. And mine. The main thing here is to understand exactly, to feel that you really love. As you write this down, you will feel a slight sense of anticipation inside. Mmm, how I want this. Pleasures can change. Listen to yourself, give yourself pleasure. Switch from destructive forms of pleasure: eating emotions, alcohol, etc. to constructive ones. Keep your list at hand and add to it. Over time, this will become a habit. And life will begin to respond, the pleasure from life will be more and more.
