One of the safest and warmest places in my memory is a quiet town in Ukraine, where I spent every summer as a child; my grandparents and great-grandmothers lived there. We lived on the second floor, in a very green place, and every morning the birds started chirping. Wild pigeons especially stood out; there were plenty of them there. Which, unfortunately, cannot be said about Ufa... they simply aren’t here! As a child, I remember they made me nervous - they prevented me from sleeping. But the older I got and the less often I was able to visit, the less indifferent my heart remained to these birds. Recently, quite by accident, I came across a recording very similar to their morning gatherings. And surprisingly, the world seemed to freeze for several minutes. Listening to this makes you feel warm inside, as it was then in childhood: the whole world is a cozy sofa, everyone loves you and there are no hardships in life yet, except for the problem: mulberries or strawberries are tastier jam for pancakes? In general, what am I talking about. Surely each of you has something that is firmly and pleasantly (most importantly pleasant!) associated with some very warm, good moment in life. Perhaps it’s a song, some kind of smell, an object, a photo or something else. In psychology this is called an “anchor”. It makes sense to think, wander through the nooks and crannies of memory and find your “anchor”; there may be more than one. After this, you need to figure out HOW to make sure that it is relatively always at hand. A piece of cloth soaked in your favorite perfume in a bag, a photo in your phone, a song in your player, etc. And when a storm suddenly happens in life or just an unpleasant situation and “takes out”, and this is not the time or place at all, we take out our “anchor” and, one way or another, we find ourselves in the resource state with which we associate it. It is clear that if the problems are serious, then, most likely, this “anchor” will not be able to “save” and “pull you out” completely, but it will allow you to stay afloat for some time. A kind of little first aid method for yourself. It also doesn’t hurt to use this wonderful resource in any other appropriate situations, for example, to relieve anxiety and calm down before an important meeting or exam. Or even just sitting at home in the evening with a book and a cup of delicious tea - treat yourself to these warm emotions.
