From the author: About replacing feelings and emotions with dry “likes” Instead of openly expressing our feelings, we press the heart, and no one can even guess what sometimes strong and different emotions these are caused us (delight, interest, irritation, empathy, excitement, surprise, sadness, confusion, fear, lightness, joy, etc.). Life goes on and changes, and if earlier people depended on what others said, now everything depend more on “likes”. When posting information on the Internet, we expect how we will be assessed, whether they will give us “likes”. More precisely, “likes” are not even necessary, the reaction is important, the main thing is that there is one. And so you write a post on social networks or somewhere else, but there is no reaction, and you feel sad, and maybe other emotions. We began to spend a lot of time on the Internet. The real and virtual worlds are very intertwined. In the virtual world, we want to look better than we really are. And how can we not pay attention to “LIKES”? I will offer 2 examples from the literature: First option. Let’s remember Irvin Yalom and his work “Schopenhauer as Medicine”, where one of the main characters says: “The more a person has inside himself, the less he expects from others.” Here we can talk about self-esteem, that if we value ourselves, then the opinion of others will only be an opinion and it can be used as statistics (i.e. if the 10th person in a row criticizes our creativity, then maybe it’s worth thinking about) .Second option. I propose to consider an excerpt from Austin Kleon’s work “Steal Like an Artist”: “By releasing your work into the world, you no longer have the ability to control people’s reactions. NOT EVERYONE WILL APPRECIATE YOUR WORK. You will face rejection of what you are doing. Perhaps even with insults. So learn to be comfortable with being misunderstood, neglected or ignored - the SECRET is to be too busy and simply not notice it all. , and maybe for you…»
