Author: Vitaly Pichugin Source: http://www.nlplife.ru/ As a child, I lacked the experience and knowledge of how to respond to poisonous educational arguments. For example: “And if everyone went to jump from the roof, would you go too?” This is when the whole class decided to replace attending physical education with a trip to the zoo. Everyone was asked the question - why did you go? The answer was standard - everyone went. And then in a circle: “If only everyone was off the roof...” I didn’t know then what could be objected to and I swore with everyone else not to jump from the roof. Childhood is long gone, but I still hear the same arguments from adults. But now I have an “antidote”. This is not so much a refutation of the arguments as a way to avoid the conversation in an edifying tone, to show its inappropriateness and absurdity. If you like it, take it for yourself and you can creatively develop and add to it. Let's start with the above. Hitting: “And if everyone went to jump from the roof, would you go too?” Answer: “And if everyone didn’t go to jump from the roof, you wouldn’t go either?” If you understand the principle, you can write the answer to this phrase yourself: If everyone If they go to drown themselves, will you go too? Here’s another common attack: “Don’t you think you’re allowing yourself too much?” Answer: “If it seems to you that I allow myself too much, perhaps you are simply denying yourself a lot.” There are also some decent pieces of advice, for example: be more modest. The implication is that you are not modest enough in the opinion of the person speaking. One can, of course, answer that modesty adorns those who have no other adornments, but this may sound defiant. It's better to ask a clarifying question. More modest than whom? They often prescribe to a person what he supposedly should: you must be an example. Here the answer to a question will not work. If you ask “to whom you owe it,” they can always answer: friends, wife, children, husband, party, leadership, etc. Another answer to the expression “you must be an example” is possible. My function is more important - I am a terrible warning! Of course, there are no right answers for all cases, but there is always the option to simply remain silent or leave. Sometimes staying silent is better than coming up with something smart. For example, being smart with your boss is not always appropriate. And finally, let’s remember our childhood. The phrase is familiar to everyone: “The sweetness will make your butt stick together.” You can answer with an anecdote. - Mom, give me some toffee!? Indignant mother: - The butt will stick together!!!!!!!! - Mom... I’ll put it in my mouth... The child is talking about the butt, he’s talking about the mother’s mouth. After this, for resourcefulness, the child is given toffee. And why was I so gullible as a child? I had to be resourceful right away. But it's never too late….
