These are difficult times for many people. If before it was calm enough to plan something, now many plans have been cancelled. We found ourselves in conditions for which we were hardly prepared. I have collected, in my opinion, the most important recommendations on how to take care of yourself now. After all, right now this is doubly important. How you can help yourself in conditions of uncertainty: 🧩 Organize in communities and societies. Communities for those who decide to leave, communities for those who decide to stay. Communities of different formats and associations. It is important to share what hurts inside (and makes you happy too). Communication always has a therapeutic effect on us, so there is no need to keep everything to yourself. The main thing is to find those who share your views. Ask for help. It’s hard to cope alone, in difficult times it’s even harder. Request as much help as possible. Psychological, informational, financial. I believe that the world is not without kind people :) But if it’s difficult to ask, then I want to remind you that this is a skill that is important and needs to be developed!🧩 Turn to art. You can read literature, watch supportive films, listen to music. The content will be different for everyone and everyone will need different things. But I believe in the healing power of art and the germination of connections. You can start knitting, embroidering, and attracting any activity into your life that will help you distract from constant thoughts.🧩 Pay attention to the body. Give the body attention and signals: “I’m here, I’m with myself.” As long as our hearts beat, we have us, we have our bodies and thoughts. It is important to give attention and embodiment. Breathe, walk, stroke, hug yourself. 🧩 Do helping things. I believe that caring and helping others [not necessarily people] allows you to switch to action and emerge from feelings of guilt and horror. If you have the strength and opportunity, help others in any way you can. 🧩 Don't let go of hope. Difficult times are ending. Everything passes, this too will pass. How are you helping yourself now?
