Stress, troubles, crises test our strength. But if you know the ways of quick psychological self-help, you can avoid prolonged depressive states, blues and despondency. Spring has come, we've been waiting for it for so long!) I found an interesting technique that I want to share with you. The Sedona method was created by Lester Levenson, a once successful businessman and physicist by training. At the age of 42, he had persistent depression and a whole bunch of illnesses. Doctors sent him home to die with a disappointing prognosis. Lester did not give up, and as a creative person, he began to look for opportunities for his healing. He began to work on his consciousness and found his own way to free himself from stress and negativity. He practiced it for three months and was able to recover, and lived for another 42 years. To perform the technique you will need 5 minutes of time. You can practice it in the moment when you feel a strong emotion. To do this, you can turn the focus to yourself and ask yourself 5 questions: 1. How do I feel now? Is there irritation, anger, resentment, disappointment, worry, anxiety or something else? It is important to name the feeling.2. Can I accept this feeling? A positive answer will indicate your willingness to change your emotions; a negative answer will make this task more difficult. Accepting only means that you notice this feeling as a result of the activity of your psyche.3. Can I let go of this feeling? If you repent that it is difficult for you to do this, then a positive answer will mean that you want to help yourself change your condition. You always want the best for yourself.4. Will I let this feeling go? When there is a positive intention, there is motivation to take care of your physical and emotional well-being, then the answer will always be positive5. When will I let him go? Your unconscious will immediately give you the correct answer). If your answer is “now,” imagine letting go of the feeling. You can imagine it as some color or light. You can imagine how the feeling flows out of you, you can hold it in your palms for a while and then, by drawing in more air, blow it off slowly but intensely. After the exercise, check yourself. Is the feeling you were working with at the moment still there? If it has not completely gone away, then the exercise is repeated until you are satisfied with the result. The exercise can be done in the evening, when you have the opportunity to be alone with yourself and complete all the unfinished emotions of the day. It is important to understand and pay attention to your feelings. We want to be happy, calm and joyful. If feelings are overwhelming, take a lot of energy and “nothing helps,” then there is always the opportunity to seek psychological help and explore more deeply the reasons for what is bothering you.
