How to improve your relationship with your child. This is what I thought, but it’s very difficult to establish contact with your own child. And why? First of all, we are different people. My sons have their own world into which they do not let everyone in. And to be able to go there, you need to earn their trust. And how to do it? You need to keep your word. And if you promised to go to the zoo with your child on Saturday, then be so kind as to do it. And this is not only about relaxation and spending time together, it is much deeper: if you yell at a child because something went wrong at work today, and pour out all your aggression on the little person, he is unlikely to tell you how His day has passed today... And it turns out that through our actions we form our child’s trust in us. It turns out that we, adults, have not learned to respond adequately to the situation, and it depends on us whether our child trusts us or not. Now, each of us can remember more than a dozen such situations that alienate us from our own children. A feeling of guilt rolls in at such a moment in life, but we really couldn’t react differently. What should we parents do to increase the flow of our children’s trust in us and begin to build constructive relationships: Try to hear and feel the child Pay close attention to changes in his mood Notice changes in his behavior Notice a different reaction to a common situation Provide support Accept him for who he is Respect his boundaries Share with him his feelings and experiences Don’t “abandon” him when he’s scared and when he needs your help Love him The main thing a child can do when communicating with you: Express his dissatisfaction Express his anger Cry Get upset Be offended Be afraid Do tasks with mistakes Don’t be perfect Get upset Turn to you for help Get tired Share your emotions and experiences Have the opportunity tactile contact with you when he needs it Admit that something didn’t work out for him, etc. The main thing is that parents have the desire to build a relationship with their child. And for this, sometimes it’s enough just to talk to him and hear what’s bothering him at a given moment. You can start with this.
