Parents who are dissatisfied with the behavior of their children often turn to a psychologist, hiding behind the phrase: “He has such genes,” “He took after daddy.” I came across an interesting study by scientists on this topic , described in the book: “It didn’t start with you” (Mark Wolynn). Quote from the book: "...signals from the environment are able to penetrate the cell membrane, controlling the behavior and physiology of the cell. And this, in turn, can activate a gene or turn it off." We are talking about human behavior and the external factors that shape it since the early childhood. That is, the genetics of a person, and in particular a child, are extremely susceptible to external influences. And since a child is born and grows up in a family, his habits and beliefs directly depend, first of all, on the quality of his upbringing. That is, parents can mold their child into either an unhappy or a successful person. Thus, hiding behind the phrases: “He has such genes,” “He took after daddy,” parents confirm their educational incompetence or obvious reluctance to develop it. If a parent has no desire to develop awareness in education, then a psychologist can only be useful to the child and only situationally. That is, to ease his condition, relieve stress “here and now.” At the same time, you need to understand that as soon as the child returns to his usual family system, stress will fall on him again. When working only with a child, the psychologist’s chances of influencing his behavior in the long term are reduced to zero. But if we have a parent who is really looking for answers to their questions and strives to develop their parental competence, then here the psychologist’s chances of achieving lasting results in the child’s behavior are greatly enhanced. How can parents increase awareness in their upbringing, and children feel happier in the family? How can a psychologist confidently and competently conduct classes with parents? How can parents help children correct their behavior? These are the most pressing questions, especially for school psychologists. I will answer these questions in a free webinar. And I will share my own methods. Register: https://www.crosscoaching.ru/web
