Have you ever met people who are constantly drawn to extreme sports? These people can work as rescuers, firefighters, police officers. Where there is a certain risk. They may have never jumped with a parachute, but they want more and more. It is likely that these people may have an adrenaline addiction. Adrenaline addiction is a condition in which a person experiences a constant need for new or dangerous sensations and experiences that cause the release of adrenaline in the body. Symptoms of adrenaline addiction include: - excessive desire for dangerous or extreme activities without proper risk assessment; - frequent searches for new types of entertainment and gambling; - anxiety and irritability in the absence of new stimuli; - dependence on adrenaline-filled entertainment to maintain mood and a feeling of euphoria. ;- neglect of one’s own health and safety in pursuit of extreme sensations. But what is the reason for the formation of adrenaline addiction? After all, each of us has an instinct of self-preservation, why doesn’t it work in people with this addiction? There are several reasons, such as genetics. Some research suggests that people may have a genetic predisposition to adrenaline addiction. Heredity may play a role in how the body responds to high levels of adrenaline, which may create a need for constant stimulation. For some people, seeking adrenaline rushes can be a way to cope with stress, depression or other emotional problems. Also, cultural or social factors may influence the development of adrenaline addiction, for example, in an environment where such activities are considered attractive. In addition, there are underlying biological mechanisms. High levels of adrenaline give a person a feeling of euphoria and excitement. The constant desire to experience this effect can lead to the formation of adrenaline addiction. These factors can combine and interact with each other, contributing to the formation of adrenaline addiction in a person.
