Self-esteem is how I evaluate myself, how I feel about myself, whether I am satisfied with myself. This is an important basic structure of our personality, which is directly related to the quality of life. It can help us in life if it is positive, or it can hinder us. It’s interesting that even by analyzing the word self-esteem itself, you can understand what is important for building a good attitude towards yourself. But despite this, many may think that positive self-esteem is something that comes from the outside, and other people can influence it when you feel superior to other people, and also that success in life depends on it. These are all myths. There is very good news: self-esteem is connected with us, we can strengthen it ourselves. Only we are now responsible for whether our self-esteem is positive and whether it helps or hinders! It is worth considering that self-esteem changes over time, we can treat ourselves either well or badly. This is a normal process. Of course, how we relate to ourselves is formed over time. Many factors of our experience have influenced what self-esteem is now. For example, in childhood, every person adopts (unconsciously copies) the behavior model of adults. How parents feel about themselves, what self-esteem they have, and how they evaluate their child will influence the formation of self-esteem. Also, the different situations that each of us faces, even early ones, lead to different conclusions that will also affect our assessment of ourselves. What to do about it? If you feel that this experience is bothering you, then work with a psychologist. How can you independently strengthen Self-Esteem and try to maintain it? There are many ways to do this. Today I want to offer you one of them, “List of Achievements.” Its purpose is to create the habit of feeling and maintaining your own dignity every day, being proud of your achievements, and supporting yourself in difficult moments.1. Remember and write down 5 things you did yesterday. 2. Evaluate, what actions do you remember? Positive or negative? How does your brain get used to paying more attention to positive moments or not? 3. Remember 5 things you did today that you can add to your list of achievements and be satisfied with yourself. 4. Continue to do it daily. 5. At moments when you feel that your self-esteem is falling, look at the list. Try to remember how you feel in moments of achievement.
