Can any of these phrases describe your regular state? Have you ever felt like your work is starting to consume you completely, leaving you without energy or motivation? If you are a healthcare professional, educator, businessman, executive, or simply someone who faces high work pressure, then you are probably familiar with the concept of burnout. Here I wrote separately about how to understand this burnout or fatigue: https://www.b17.ru/blog/426458/?prt=683979 In this article we will talk about simple but effective steps that will help you avoid burnout and Maintain a balance between work and personal life.1. The first step to avoiding burnout is determining your priorities. It is important to make a list of tasks in descending order of importance and concentrate on the most significant ones. For example, if you are an educator, your priority might be student learning rather than perfectionism in every lesson.2. One of the key points in avoiding burnout is learning to say “no” to unnecessary responsibilities and requests for which you do not have the resources at the moment. 3. It is important to regularly set aside time for self-care. This could be playing sports, meditating, just reading a book, or any other activity that interests you, brings joy and allows you to relax. The main thing is to find your own way of relaxation and do it regularly.4. Setting boundaries and separating work time from personal time. This is not always possible in all professions, but it is important to at least try to establish a boundary between work and rest. Leave work at work.5. It is important to take breaks during the workday. For example, take a five-minute break every hour to relax and unwind. Preventative rest is better than forced rest. Practical task: try to spend a day following all the above steps. Write down your observations and evaluate how your condition has changed at the end of the day. For severe and long-term symptoms, it may be useful to consult a psychologist who can help understand the causes and offer strategies for coping with negative emotions and conditions. Sometimes the reasons can be deeper and more personal.
