Today, it seems to me that anxiety has touched everyone to one degree or another. Without a plan, I quickly wrote a few recommendations on how to reduce its degree: - Finding the source of anxiety. Usually fear has a face, anxiety does not, it is blurred, it is about everything and nothing. Having found a specific source, you can already think about it: is it real, how will it change your life, what can you do with it now in real life. Think through various options for events and backup plans. - Breathe. Deeply, slowly, listening to your breathing and concentrating on it. You can say “here” while inhaling, and “now” while exhaling. In this way, we harmonize the work of the body and focus on the present, moving away from negative thoughts. This also includes all types of breathing practices, or meditations based on breathing. - Work with the body. Track where your anxiety is concentrated - it always manifests itself in bodily symptoms. Massage this part of the body, walk around, stretch, shout to release it and thereby remove the block. - Act. Any action reduces anxiety, even if it has nothing to do with the anxious situation. - Draw. We transfer our internal state to the sheet, look at it, understand that now it is on the sheet, and not inside you. Then we harmonize it with the help of circles or waves, concentrating on the process. Thus, we abstract ourselves, immerse ourselves in a kind of meditation. - Get away from the wave of negative news. Many feel shame for wanting to shield themselves from the news. It seems that you cannot continue to live your life if people around you are suffering, this is devaluation and betrayal. But that's not true. You should not be ashamed of your desires and emotions; you yourself have the right to control the flow of information that enters your life. And if it affects you negatively, you can abstract yourself from it. And we remember that it is important to always remain humane, not to catastrophize, not to conflict. Do not acquire new enemies at a time when it is especially important to be united and be together. ___________Sofia Zakharchuk - clinical psychologist, mentor of expertsMore publications on my Instagram* @sofisteriaServices for clients and psychologists: https://taplink.cc/sofisteria Thank you for watching!* Instagram belongs to the company Meta, which is recognized as an extremist organization in Russia.
