The thyroid gland metaphysically is a connection, a junction between the physical body and the energy center responsible for a person’s individuality, the development of the will and his creative abilities. Eastern philosophy calls this center Vishuddha. In conditions when a person, for some reason, does not allow himself to express himself, show himself to the world, blocks emotions, hides feelings, holds back words, crying, his song, or is simply tired, exhausted - this imposes restrictions on the functioning of the thyroid gland as a physical organ. The immune system, Antibodies attack and ulcerate the thyroid gland, the energy-producing organ. For a person (organism) to slow down, slow down... Resources are used up, you need to turn on the saving mode. The biological program for saving the body is activated. So that a driven horse does not fall, but at least moves from a gallop to a walk. Or is this already a program of attenuation of the body, when you want to hide, dissolve, die... And it’s safer this way, because the world has become (or was initially, before birth) dangerous, unfair, cruel.***How does it all begin?.. Long before the alarming indicators T3, T4, a person lives in a state of anxiety, expecting something bad. Tension, stiffness in the body, it is almost impossible to relax. This is also reflected in the quality of sleep: the need to control does not allow you to fall asleep, your sleep is light and superficial. The body does not receive the important hormone melatonin, which is responsible for the body's resistance and healing. The result is a vicious circle: lack of sleep harms the thyroid gland, and a diseased thyroid gland prevents sleep from normalizing. And this can continue for years. There is still such a moment. Fear and anticipation of bad developments lead to a desire, often unconscious, to stop time. And now the slowdown program is ready! In turn, guilt for sluggishness spurs the feeling: “I can’t keep up.” Hence even more irritability, anger at oneself and loved ones. Sometimes there is resentment - but this is less common. Lack of concentration and difficulty starting to do anything necessary. Anger at one's own ineffectiveness. And at the same time, if some work has already been started, then the whole consciousness, all the thoughts are drawn into it, into the process, like into a pool. A kind of working out of one’s “laziness” and at the same time a kind of rest for the brain, in order to at least take a break from persistent anxiety and information noise. We are tormented, hooked, tugged from everywhere... politicians, propagandists, marketers... They take our time, energy, strength and money. They take away our desire to live. We forget that this life is given to us once and it is unique. And all this foam is not worth exchanging your invaluable resources for all this.*** A specific case: problems with the thyroid gland of one young woman began in adolescence. The main destructive attitude sounded in her head like this: “I don’t must upset my mother." So that my mother would not be upset, she often agreed with what she did not agree with inside. She remained silent and endured, giving up her plans and desires. The girl was on hormonal therapy with L-thyroxine at the age of 13. And indeed, the psychosomatics of thyroid diseases is primarily associated with a ban on self-expression. The thyroid gland is connected to the throat center, and when we literally “shut ourselves up,” a muscular shell is formed, a spasm in the throat area. According to Wilhelm Reich, the throat segment includes the muscles of the neck and tongue, and our ability to cry and scream is blocked in it. This block is often formed at the age of two or three years, when parents forbid children to cry and scream. The throat center is blocked by such messages from adults: “When adults talk, children are silent!”, “Nobody asks you.” In children in such conditions very often chronic tonsillitis develops first, and then thyroid diseases.***And what to do about it? You can shift the responsibility to doctors and take hormones all your life. But at the same time, we must understand that no one will bother with us properly, and we ourselves will most likely be too lazy to go toendocrinologist for the necessary dose adjustment with each change of season and condition. And any pills remove the symptoms, but do not remove the cause of the disease. And even if you have been taking hormones for five years; and as doctors say, after such a period it is no longer possible to refuse them; if the thyroid gland has been removed or its working volume has been significantly lost, it is probably worth it all the more to support your sick body and exhausted psyche. Support not only with pills. So, what treats the thyroid gland gives it a resource: -- Sleep is a universal cure for all diseases, and this is recognized by all real healers and doctors. Sleeping in complete darkness and silence. It’s interesting that in the regression session, when I asked about my condition (and I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism), my subconscious pointed to only one resource - “sleep.” - Maintaining information hygiene, especially before bedtime .-- Physical activity (morning exercises, swimming, yoga, qigong, fitness in moderation, dancing...) - Proper nutrition, primarily minimizing industrial sweets and drinks, sauces, sausages, wheat products. -- Communication with nature, plants and animals, contemplation of the sky and beyond...-- Singing, karaoke, recited poetry, participation in theatrical performances - to remove blocks from the throat center.-- Meditative techniques: yoga, massage, creative activities, meditation itself, prayer...-- Bodily practices: massage and self-massage, body care, sex.-- Education, acquisition of new knowledge, knowledge of the world, travel...-- Philosophical attitude to what is happening in the world, acceptance of those processes and phenomena that happen to the share of our generation. Regarding the benefits of each individual point and its connection with the health of the thyroid gland, you can write treatises from the field of healthy lifestyle, nutrition, esotericism, philosophy, psychology, psychiatry... But one thing I would like to especially note: our psyche rules the body, but sometimes the body can help the psyche. If you can’t come to an agreement with your psyche and body on your own, or the condition is unbearable, you should seek the help of psychotherapy. Well, if you have symptoms, you should see an endocrinologist every year, and it is very advisable to adjust the dose of hormones along with the change of season.* **And what finishes off the thyroid gland: - Chronic lack of sleep: late falling asleep and poor quality of sleep. - States of stress (or distress is more correct). - Excess of carbohydrates, sugar, flour products in the diet. -- Lack and excess of physical activity. -- Unsuitable climate, sudden climate change, constant flights. -- Blocking your emotions, abandoning feelings, “living not your own life,” serving other people to the detriment of yourself. -- Toxic information and communication with toxic people. Pay attention to what kind of information you absorb daily: media, news feeds, political shows, horror films... Fear, anxiety kill the thyroid gland.-- Reluctance to change, refusal of creativity and development. Refusal to move along your own path due to fear of change. Serious psychological trauma takes a lot of energy to block it. She literally takes over the resources necessary for life. The trauma of self-dislike, the trauma of worthlessness, worthlessness, uselessness can be expressed in the strategy: “I lie down and die. And may they regret me." The strategy, conscious or unconscious, is in the head, and the command is given to the body, the thyroid gland - to shut off the energy, to end life. Suppressed and unrealized emotions and feelings are one of the main factors of internal auto-aggression: when you extinguish negativity at the expense of your emotional and physical resources. For everyone we need to learn to say “no” to stories that have nothing to do with us. And before that, of course, it would be good to figure this out: what is mine and what is not... ***Dilyara Lebedeva, endocrinologist: From the point of view of psychosomatics, the thyroid gland reflects situations that are associated with time. The state of reduced activity in hypothyroidism manifests an internal the need to slow down, to “stretch out time.” This happens when there is tension or fear of doing something negative inside the psyche
