COACH SESSION: analysis A coaching session involves a dialogue between the coach and the client, which is built in a question-and-answer format. What is the difference between a session with a psychologist and coaching? The difference is that the coach does not give recommendations and step-by-step instructions; with the help of leading questions, he builds a dialogue so that the client independently comes to a solution to the problem. This is an effective method that reveals the situation from a different angle and helps to find answers based on personal perception. How is the meeting going? The first session lasts 1-1.5 hours. During this time, acquaintances take place, problems are discussed, requests are worked out, communication formats and other organizational issues are discussed. What's next? Subsequent dialogues take place once a week (or upon request) and take 40-50 minutes, during which one request is discussed, but the number of sessions and their frequency vary individually. As a rule, clients and I achieve a goal in 4-12 meetings. At the beginning of each conversation, the coach clarifies the topic of the day and, together with the client, formulates a “contract” for the session. If additional questions arise during communication, the coach records them and returns them to the client for further elaboration. Why does coaching work? Coaching is a system for supporting and motivating a person with the help of correctly posed questions that help formulate a goal, unlock potential, build a “route map” for solving a problem and go through intermediate stages. The function of a coach is to push the client to think independently and make a positive decision; he will become the guide who will lead him out of the labyrinths of his own subconscious. “During the session, I am a flashlight that illuminates significant moments in the complete darkness of the client’s unconscious and this helps us get out of the labyrinths of the problem.” Each consultation requires trust in the coach and honesty with him. It is impossible to reach a decision by hiding information directly related to it. While searching for solutions, the coach can use various techniques to relax the client and open his subconscious. At the end of the session, all the information voiced today is summarized, which makes it possible to record decisions and ways to implement them. I'm opening enrollment for coaching sessions in February! There are only 5 places, to register, write in private messages💌
