Vegetative-vascular dystonia (VSD) is a common phenomenon that many people face. However, despite the widespread use of this diagnosis, many experts tend to attribute VSD to a non-existent disease, and instead consider it as a vegetative manifestation of neurosis. Let's look at this in more detail. Vegetative-vascular dystonia is a complex of symptoms such as frequent heart fluctuations, dizziness, sweating, feeling tired and weak, which can occur under conditions of stress or physical exertion. These symptoms can be very unpleasant and even frightening for those who experience them. However, despite the fact that many doctors diagnose VSD and prescribe appropriate treatment, there are different points of view on the nature of this problem. Some experts believe that VSD is the result of a disorder of the nervous system, while others believe that it is a psychological rather than a physiological symptom.☝According to many psychologists, VSD should be considered as an autonomic manifestation of neurosis. Neuroses are a form of mental disorder in which various symptoms occur, such as anxiety, depression, obsessive thoughts and phobias. Neuroses often cause physiological reactions, including changes in heart rate, breathing and blood pressure. This is why many believe that VSD may simply be one of the manifestations of neurosis. Thus, it is important to understand that VSD can be not only a physiological, but also a psychological phenomenon. Signs of VSD can be the result of stress, anxiety, negative emotions or psychological problems. Therefore, to effectively treat VSD, it is necessary not only to eliminate the physiological symptoms, but also to address the root psychological causes. Treatment of VSD, like neuroses, often includes psychotherapy, relaxation, meditation, exercise and lifestyle changes. Psychological counseling and work to increase the level of stress resistance can also be useful methods in the fight against VSD. Thus, VSD is a non-existent diagnosis, but rather an autonomic manifestation of neurosis. For effective treatment of VSD, it is necessary to take into account both physiological and psychological factors that may contribute to its occurrence. Therefore, it is recommended to consult a specialist to receive comprehensive and individualized treatment aimed at improving both physical and emotional well-being. It is important to remember that VSD is not an incurable condition, and with the right treatment approach, significant improvement and reduction in discomfort can be achieved.
