Presentation of the original course: I often remember how my mother humorously asked me as a child: “Well, what else do you need for complete happiness?” This is a question I ask myself every day now. Over time, I learned to recognize what I really need to feel happy. I learned to set goals and achieve them. Today I teach this to other people, and the day has come when I realized that for complete happiness at this moment in time, I don’t have enough to write a book of a practical nature that happiness exists, and anyone can come to it from any, even the most crisis points of your life. Where to start and how to pave your way to personal happiness - this is what this practical book is about, essentially a full-fledged course designed to last up to 90 days or more. Each person has his own understanding of happiness based on his personal experience. Therefore, here we, with my co-author Igor Vasyukov, do not give numerous definitions of this term. You will determine for yourself what it means for you to be happy, and what exactly you need to do for this. I’ll say right away that not even the wisest and most correct book can make a person happy. Fortunately, today there is really a lot of information about what contributes to happiness. But if it were enough for us to just know about this, then humanity would have created a happy society long ago, at least since the time of Moses, who formulated the commandments, and then Jesus Christ, who continued to talk about what not to do in order to be happy (and enter the Kingdom of Heaven on Earth). But, unfortunately, the commandments do not work. More precisely, they work, but with a creak. And if a second mission comes to us on Earth, then its task will be to ensure that these commandments are still observed. Why don't the commandments work? One of the reasons is that they are formulated in the form of a prohibition, in a negative way: don’t do this or that...” But in exchange for this prohibition, no positive alternative is offered: “What should I do?” Another reason is that a person alone is completely unable to cope with his sins, i.e. those character traits that lead him to repeat behavior that ruins his life, no matter how much he wants it. It's not enough to just read. It's not enough to just know. It is necessary regularly, and at the beginning of the path to your goal, to pass the acquired knowledge through your soul EVERY DAY and gain your experience, consisting of both overcoming difficulties on the way to achieving your goal and your first positive changes in your life. Why is such practical work on yourself necessary? The point is this: everything that we are now has evolved over the years, including the entire set of stereotypical behavior that prevents us from becoming happy. Many studies in the field of human thinking and behavior indicate that the average person consists of 90% behavioral stereotypes. This means that in most cases he does not control himself and in similar situations acts automatically. In order to start acting differently, you need to first first, to become aware of your typical behavior, secondly, to comprehend its reasons, thirdly, to regularly monitor it, and fourthly, to develop new alternative healthy behavior patterns and begin to practice them regularly.
