From the author: You can attend a class on “Dance-movement therapy” Teacher: Permina Svetlana - candidate of psychological sciences, specialist in integrative psychology, art therapist, teacher at MAPN. Russian group leader. Regional Representative for the Ural Federal District, Corresponding Member of the International Academy of Psychological Sciences Today, many people go to dance and movement therapy groups to gain confidence in themselves, in relationships with other people, to unlock their potential. From childhood we are taught to suppress our emotions, especially such like resentment, fear, anger and even joy. But there are no emotions that are not reflected in the body. The body “knows and remembers” all the suffering of our soul. It gives us signals that we often do not understand, since contact with it is broken and sometimes completely lost. Alienation from one's own body leads to stress, illness, depression, feelings of loneliness and alienation from other people. Dance allows a person to safely express everything that cannot be expressed in words, it facilitates access to deeply hidden fantasies and allows them to be given form. In this way, dance symbolically expresses human possibilities and conflicts. When a person moves spontaneously, he expresses himself very accurately and honestly: in spontaneous movement, unconscious aspects of the personality can materialize. The unconscious can become visible, take shape, thus a person is able to reconnect with lost parts of himself, his psychological resources. And if you realize this, then the opportunity opens up for self-knowledge and gaining greater personal integrity and integration, and this is the main part and goal of the psychotherapeutic process. If with the help of dance we learn to love and trust our body, as a result, we will learn to love and trust ourselves. The therapeutic effect occurs at a deep bodily level. If dance helps us easily adapt and feel a partner, then in life we will be able to communicate more freely and find new friends and partners, be more open and attentive to other people. Removing muscle blocks leads to the development of sensuality, warmth and openness towards other people and the world around us. This makes our life emotionally richer, painted in brighter colors. The main difference between dance therapy and choreography is the absence of an established vocabulary of movement and a predetermined result of dance expression. For TDT, what is important is not HOW a person moves, but WHAT he feels while dancing. The second difference is the presence of a therapist, a person who must have two educations, dance and necessarily psychological. Dance therapy can be used: to treat patients (mental and physical disorders); for healthy people with psychological problems; for personality development and self-improvement; for self-knowledge; Can be carried out in group and individual form. It also promotes: the formation of a positive body image, helps bodily self-understanding; increasing self-esteem; developing spontaneity , the ability to make non-standard decisions; relieving stress, muscle and physical tension; reducing anxiety, aggression; develops contact, helps in the ability to establish relationships with a partner and team; develops imagination and creativity. The body and psyche are inseparably interconnected and have a constant mutual influence on each other . For a dance therapist, it is an axiom to understand that the body is a mirror of the soul, and movement is an expression of the human “I”. By making the body more flexible, we make the soul more flexible, and vice versa. Therefore, the goal of therapy is to achieve self-awareness by exploring the body's reactions and actions. Dance is a communication that occurs on three levels: with oneself, with other people, and with the world. Through dance, we take a step towards accepting freedom and creativity in everyday life. life, we agree to see the world.
