“Before diagnosing yourself with depression and low self-esteem, make sure that you are not surrounded by idiots,” said Sigmund Freud. I fully support the idea. Let me expand on this reasoning. Our daily environment influences us. The faceless and dull interior of a home or office, gray weather, people in whose company we begin to feel sad or insecure, gloomy news in the media, total grayness and the dominance of black in the wardrobe, according to my observations, can have a significant and negative impact on a person. More here It’s important to say this. There are people who justify their condition by external reasons - something always prevents them from doing, being, feeling. They tend to be passive, slow to rise, skeptics, waiting for changes from the outside, for the light of someone’s sun to shine on them, warm them, charge them, and then happiness will come. There are those who know how to be such a sun, who know how to create their own “good”. Everyone has difficulties and troubles. The only question is how to treat them and what to do with them. This is a matter of choice. If at first it is difficult for you to choose your mood, state, I suggest starting with choosing your environment - what you look at, what you listen to, who you communicate with, what you wear, etc. I want to infect you with an interest in exploring yourself , the ability to discover your own hidden resources. Reading and agreeing is not enough. Some action is needed! I offer you a simple and effective experiment. Imagine that you go to the closet, take out all your black clothes from there, all of them! You don’t get it for a week...And now there’s something left in your closet. (I am sincerely happy for those who have a lot!!) There is something left there, right? I would venture to guess that this seems to be the amount of color and light you allow into your life. How do you like this observation? I have a suggestion for you - wear colored clothes, or even better, light clothes - bright, rich or pastel shades - for at least two weeks. Yes, this way you will be more noticeable, you will probably attract more attention and interest (in our usual dullness). There is every chance that more good and bright things will happen in your life. The train of thought can change, the worldview and sense of self are different, and imagination develops. Remember the appearance of creative people. What other example? We are unlikely to think of dressing small children in black or painting the nursery in it. Why? We try to make the world around them attractive and positive for them to explore. I myself really love the color black, it suits me. At the same time, my personal experiment led me to the fact that I haven’t worn black for several months now, I found other colors that are in tune with me, that charge me, and that are very comfortable. You can always bring black back into your wardrobe. Bring it back, but don’t base your entire wardrobe on black. I suggest you let more color and light into your worldview. Take a closer look at, figuratively speaking, what colors you are surrounded by. In my experiment, instead of changing your wardrobe, you can do the same with the music you listen to/ the films and shows you watch/ the food you eat every day/ your usual routes/ the interior in which you work and live/ and, Of course, this also works in choosing your social circle. Create space around you. Become an experimenter for at least a couple of weeks, explore yourself, you may like it and bring more than you expect.
