Author: Vitaly Pichugin Source: http://www.nlplife.ru/We see not the world itself, but its reflection in our consciousness. Then we formulate our idea of reality, draw a picture of what surrounds us. To what extent do we do this ourselves, to what extent do they paint a picture of the world for us? Who? First, parents and educators. The child’s picture of the world is clear, just a white sheet. Parents will draw the first strokes, some straight, some crooked - it doesn’t matter, the main thing is that after birth the picture of the world is filled with other people, as they want. • If you want, they will paint it beautifully, if you don’t want, they will paint it black, this is called an unhappy childhood. The baby himself does not yet know how to draw, so the very first picture is formed more often by parents, less often by nannies, other children, and teachers. In fact, this is a combination of different pictures, sometimes random, imprinted. • This is how children imprint fears, suddenly, sharply, frighteningly. It’s as if black blots are being dropped onto the picture of the world. Good news. No matter who and what drew us in childhood, we, adults, can always take a brush into our own hands and draw the picture of the world we need. • In our lives, we are artists ourselves. You can completely cover the canvas with white paint and start painting again. Or simply redraw unsuccessful past moments. Look, somewhere it’s painted crookedly, take a brush and do it right. Who's stopping? There are people who look at the crooked daub in their lives and argue for a long time about who and how could spoil the picture of a bright life in such a way. Time passes, the picture of the world dies along with its owner. • You can spend your whole life lamenting the black tones that someone brought into your picture of the world, but never pick up a brush to correct it the way you want. Who's stopping you? If you don't constantly work on your painting, it will inevitably fade with age and its former colors will be lost. Therefore, you need to be prepared. If you suddenly feel a loss of interest in life, it means you haven’t worked on yourself, your picture of the world, for a long time. Or let other people take over your canvas. Why then be surprised at what they drew for you? These are their desires, interests, “wants”. • What are they doing in your world? Take the brush in your hands. Correct it. No one but you is the artist in your life.
