While still a college student, I noticed that at one time the topic of magic tricks, hypnosis and controlling the attention of others was popular among us. After watching enough films about tomb robbers and manipulators, the guys and I conducted a comic experiment right at the lecture. The classmate sitting in front of us had a thick leather wallet protruding from the right back pocket of his trousers. Of course, that student was sitting, so he should feel it if he pulled his tightly pressed wallet out of his stretched back pocket. Moreover, the guy was no slouch, as they say - smart, dexterous, observant. Having said to the mouthy people, “Look,” I started the show, which was watched by several other neighboring desks. Frankly, I didn’t really believe in the idea myself. But the lectures on strength of materials caused us such boredom that, in the excitement of having fun with the audience, I began our prank with mischief. I struck and began to ruffle the left shoulder of the person sitting in front, and familiarly chattered to him, “Why are you, Pashka, falling apart on desk?! Show respect to the lecturer!”, I completely freely pulled out a huge wallet from his trouser pocket. And he did it in such a way that he didn’t even notice it was missing, I chuckle at the joke. I put the wallet in a visible place near me, and everyone around gasped - they were no less surprised than me! Then, of course, we returned the item to the owner, saying that he liked it dropped it. To our even greater surprise, the guy even believed that he turned out to be such a bungler. We just diverted the man’s attention and saw with our own eyes that: It turned out to steal from his own people right before our eyes, distracting them with other factors and blaming them for anything. In a similar way, people are exposed to danger - it is difficult to live with dignity in conditions of deception and poverty (if you think about the future). What do we know about attention? That this is a process of conscious and unconscious selection of some information coming through the senses, and ignoring others. It has several functions: it starts or slows down the processes of the body, selects information, ensures the concentration of our activity. Attention can be voluntary - we ourselves choose what to look at in the window, and involuntary - we involuntarily turn around at a sharp bang. 3 of the main theories of attention: 1 . One of the most famous, the motor theory, was proposed by T. Ribot (this is also discussed in the article “I Hate Waiting”). He believed that attention is caused by emotions and is always associated with them, especially voluntary attention. Together with emotions, it is accompanied by physical and physiological states of the body. For example, we “prick up” our ears if we want to hear better. By the way, the secret of voluntary attention lies in the ability to control such movements.2. The theory of installation by D. N. Uznadze. A kind of pre-tuning of the body according to our past experience. For example, if we drink equally sweet water from a certain mug 9 times, then the 10th time the water will seem just as sweet to us, even if we put less sugar in it.3. Concept of P. Ya. Galperin (aspects of interest to us): Attention is an element of orientation-research activity. Controls activity. Attention has no result. To form a new method of voluntary attention, you need to do a lot of work (organizing familiar situations, developing and implementing a new action plan , working it out).Having studied the basic theories of attention, we can formulate what happens when our concepts are substituted, and how not to succumb to the attempts of those interested in deceiving us: 1. The truth is always delineated only by fact and logic - it is defined and uncomplicated. Attempts to control your attention with the help of false information are easy to recognize: The proposed story can be continued endlessly and raised to a state of absurdity. It causes sharp and strong emotional outbursts in you. 2. When receiving information, try to change the movement: stop listening, talk only about it, switch to other material, alternate to check it in several sources.3. From Galperin's concept - controlling your.
