From the author: You have already double-checked, compared, researched everything ten times, persuaded yourself to start for the tenth time... and retreated again. Perhaps this is just not your thing? Or is fear stopping you... There are many ways to deal with fears. I'll tell you about one of them. But first I’ll give you a parable. One sage was looking for a capable and talented student who would have sufficient skills and abilities to pass on his knowledge to him when he died. He decided to gather all the students. And so many students gathered. The sage told them: “I have a problem, and I want to know which of you can solve it.” You see - in the wall behind me there is the largest, heaviest and most massive door in the city. How many of you can open it without outside help? Some of the students simply lowered their heads: the problem seemed insoluble. Others examined the door more carefully, discussed the possibility of using a lever and the peculiarities of the material, and came to the conclusion that the problem could not be solved. Everyone said that it was impossible to do what the sage asked. Only one student approached the door and subjected it to careful examination. He tapped its surface, trying to assess its thickness and density of the material, noted what the door was made of and how reliably the hinges were lubricated. He checked her carefully using his eyes and hands. He knocked on it, pressed, pressed on certain areas. Everyone assumed that the door was closed or jammed. But in fact it was only slightly covered. The student took a deep breath, concentrated, and gently pushed the door. The door opened with ease and without the slightest resistance. It was designed and constructed so flawlessly that the slightest push was enough for it to open. The sage found his successor. It was the last of the disciples who simply performed the action. What frightens us seems very difficult. But the reality may be much simpler. One of the ways to overcome fears is to decide and take a step.
