From the author: The article is posted on the website Unfortunately, nowadays it is very common to observe the following portrait of a boss in a modern office: a young, ambitious, energetic man of about thirty to thirty-five, who has practically never worked for positions of a specialist, brought to the company “by acquaintance” to a leadership position with a set of newfangled ideas about management. Such a manager usually delegates his direct responsibilities to an experienced specialist, overloading him with not only significant but also small tasks, plays it safe by forcing his subordinates to perform one task in different variations, curries favor with the top management, forcing his subordinates to work faster, harder, better, reporting for every work done. hour. I think many have faced a similar situation and can continue this list of unsuccessful assignments and inadequacy of management. This behavior of superiors leads to violation of the boundaries of subordinates, which, with prolonged exposure, leads to various psychosomatic reactions of the body: pressure, headaches and back pain, depression, general depression, etc. Let's look at examples of management's tactless attitude towards subordinates and ways to get out of such stressful situations. 1) The boss gives a task 15 minutes before the end of the working day shouting: “This is urgent! This is important,” etc. If your employment contract does not specify irregular working hours, you know that this company will not pay you extra for overtime or provide you with time off, then you need to determine the areas of your responsibility in this matter. Try to explain to your boss that this task cannot be completed in 15 minutes. During this time, you will complete only a certain part of the task received. The entire task can only be completed by the deadline (name the real deadline within which the task can be completed). A clear and reasoned answer will help relieve you of responsibility for the “unfulfilled every second” assignment. 2) Overload at work. You notice that the pace of work is increasing, you are simultaneously talking on the phone and writing letters in order to get everything done, you spend your lunch break solving unfinished tasks , the hours at work fly by at incredible speed, have your colleagues practically stopped communicating with you? If yes, then it’s time for you to think about whether all the assignments correspond to your responsibilities? It is clear that nowadays there are widespread cases of violation of labor laws, job descriptions are nominal, do not correspond to reality or are absent altogether, but I am sure that on the to-do list you can find a lot of instructions that do not apply to you as a specialist. Many may argue here that in any job description there is a clause: “carrying out instructions from the manager...”. However, even in this case, you can remind your boss about your direct responsibilities. For example, your boss loads you with secretarial tasks: call, print, find, collect. Here it is absolutely appropriate to explain to the manager that by carrying out his every minute instructions, you are postponing really important things, for example, monitoring the return of an overpaid advance from a supplier. 3) Bosses who do not fulfill their duties also violate the boundaries of their subordinates. The worst boss according to research conducted by the portal www.hh.ru (headHunter), is an inactive boss who does not solve problems. Unfortunately, too often we see how things that have gone through the entire complex chain of approvals end up on the boss’s desk and gather dust there for weeks. It is useless to fight the laziness and illiteracy of the boss. You can remind you every day about signing the contract, but here it is important to relieve yourself of responsibility for the stagnation of the project. If the company has an electronic document management system installed, then in this case you can easily track who has stalled the process. Then, even if a scandal arises, you will have a clear alibi about what was done on your part.
